it was a nightmare, the swimming pool is full of bird poop, very noisy, unfriendly staff and environment.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. NOT value for money!!

Very average hotel: in the middle of nowhere in Chennai, quite close to the beach.
You would have expect a better view, a better terrace, a better environment. Nothing like that.
The hotel is very dark, with limited windows: life is inside, not outside. No seats, no relax chairs on the terrace, by the swimming pool (which is nice, however).
Staff is very efficient, very nice.
As a first step after a long flight from Europe, this is however a good place to stay if you just want to sleep and recover.

I made a business trip to Chennai and found this hotel close to the office. In all, it was bad value for money. I have stayed in much better hotels in Chennai for less. The staff could not communicate in English, the food was limited and the hotel felt run-down.

Quiet hotel near beach out of city

Hotel chosen because travelling next day to Pondicherry. Did not want to be caught in Chennai traffic congestion. Very pleasant stroll along beach 200m away in the morning amongst local fishing community.

Nice rooms but everything else is below par

The Club sea view rooms are a farce. They dont offer the view you expect. The rooms are nicely appointed, but the bar is very poor on maintenance and service. Food is decent but could be better. Ideal if you want to take walks on the beach in the mornings without travelling too far out of the city.

The rooms are good though the Bathroom could have been improved. Water came of the Bathroom while bathing instead of having a shower cubicle. May be only with the room which I was offered. Good Spa Therapy available at Reasonable Prices. The Breakfast Spread was not plenty but Ok, compared to Prices. Location will be good for Leisure Travel and impossible without a rented car to communicate to City / Civilisation. Service is good but need to keep English Speaking Staff for House Keeping. The person came to clean the mess of water that came out from the bathroom could not understand English. Rest of the staffs in Room Service and Recception speaks good English.

Quiet, out of noisy roads..

I actually really liked the hotel, they got roof swimming pool which unfortunately we didnt have time to try...its right near the beach where nobody swims really but very quiet, coming right after trip in Delhi with noisy hotel, i actually had a good rest. but its far from shops and u have to get taxi all the time or walk a bit. but they go nice restaurant with SPA and night club...overall I liked, its good if ur on vacation to relax as Chennai is very busy and noisy but its quite a distance to some attractions, and whatever looks close on the map is not that close actually cuz of the traffic..
Travel tip:
dont use their hotel taxi, walk a bit and find ur own, as theirs is expensive, they dont have packages but charge according the kilometers...

I always use this hotel and this time, I booked suite room, which was totally spacious and the bathroom was with jacuzzi. Also there is a swimming pool on the top floor. It is not that much big but enough for fun.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can also find an Italian restaurant, BELLACIAO, just next to the hotel. It has also good atomosphere and the foods, especially pizza are great!

a bit gloomy and far from everything

The hotel is very close to the beach but the "sea view" room I was given meant that I could see about 2square cm. of a blue patch in the distance above a big parking lot, and there's nothing around besides the beach. The decoration is a bit gloomy (everything is very dark, which prevents from seeing the dirt), the electric system is constantly falling apart (they had to put me in another room after a few hours since they couldn't repair the fancy "sensors" in the first one), the shower is either freezing or searing hot (but you can't quite choose) and the taxi rental offer is a complete rip-off. The staff is very friendly however and the food is rather good.
