Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. small rooms with big service
situation of hotel is a very plus point, situated right in the heart of the city,
9.3
it was very hassle free in getting the room, the room was small, but they compensate it by the great hospitality they provided, complimentary breakfast was provided, but the variety was very little, room was very nice with very soft mattress, overall,it was a value for money
Shopping Tip:
don't forget to visit Express Avenue Shopping center,it's just nearby with all the international brands, plus asia's best cimeplexes

after arriving at the hotel and toiling with the hotel staff to get some basic things done, i confidently declare i made a huge mistake.
here are some instances for my frustration.
1. i asked for a non-smoking room when booking online. when i arrived at the lobby, i once again asked to make sure i got a non-smoking room. i was told it is a non-smoking. when i got into room 301, it turned out to be a smoking room.
2. after we got into our room 301, we saw the toilet was not cleaned. this is most basic. ensuring the toilet is cleaned before guests are let in is elementary knowledge in hospitality business. after calls to front desk, we managed to get the cleaning crew clean the toilet while we were in the room.
3. i had to make two phone calls and one in-person request to get an additional bath towel and extra hand tissues. i dont get why it takes about 2 hours to act on simple requests.

First trip to India and arriving in Chennai late we wanted the ease of a transfer so requested a taxi from Chennai airport as was arriving at 1am through hotel. After confirmation that the taxi driver would be at the airport to pick us up from hotel reception we should have been good to go, however upon arrival no sign of the taxi driver. We paid a pre paid taxi driver and had a dodgy drive through back streets, to finally find our hotel. Reception staff were to interested in the late night movie to give us there full attention, not something you want to experience. As we arrived at the hotel at 1.30 am all we wanted to do was have a shower and get some sleep. Got a wake up call in the morning to notify us that we had to checkout by 12pm, when the night before the hotel reception said that we can checkout at the same time as we arrived the following day. Hotel rooms were clean enough.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Avoid Chennai and Malles Manataa at all costs.

room given was congested , and gloomy
Nothing Service was poor / had personal unable to communicate in English or Tamil
3
overall it was a poor choice. when called upon for any
service, was not attended . had to go to front office personaly to be effective.
one night returned after 10pm the bed room was never done, when requested the front office staff said that i have not told him to clean up when i left about 4am. what a thing to say when they are supposed to clean and tidy rooms every morning.
i was also charged for services i did not use, and overcharged for drinks provided, which cud'nt be verified,by them.
Travel tip:
poor management will not recommend to anyone
staff attitude "dont care"

Perfect if you are visiting the US consulate
Clean, smart interiors, nice and clean bathroom, prompt service
8.3
My wife and I stayed overnight for her Visa interview the next day. We stayed in a studio room. The studio rooms are small but very clean.
It is definitely the best hotel room that you will get within Rs.2000 in Chennai. Will stay again and will highly recommend.
Travel tip:
The location from the US consulate at Anna Salai was perfect. It is 2.5km from the Consulate. Takes 5 mins by auto (Rs. 30 if you can haggle with the autodriver). Auto drivers are a menace in Chennai!

Nice hotel with good service
Good and comfortable rooms with all amenities
8
it was a pleasant stay at mallas manotaa. the service given by the staff, specially the front office staff was really commendable. the hotel offers check in and check out on a 24 hour basis and not on the standard basis of 12.00 noon , 2.00pm.the staff were very polite and friendly, always ready to help the guests
Shopping Tip:
The hotel is not whithin the dusty ang congested shopping area. By three wheel it is only Rs. 30 to the famous shops like Pothys, Saravanas and Ranganathan street.
