We enjoyed the stay. Recomend the hotel for any business traveller. But there was no IDD facility and WiFi did not work during the entire stay. This was the only draw back.

we have enjoyed our stay at malles manotaa and it is easy reach of the main city,we wished we could stay a bit longer a this hotel.the rooms are very spacious and have facilities to make tea and warm food in the room.
Shopping Tip:
it is a short distance to Ti Nagar shopping centre and there are a lot of shops.

Very nice bathroom with a separated big shower part inside the bathroom, very clean room (but not too big) with tea cooker and water for free, flat TV on the wall with many channels. The aircon was very silent and working well. The breakfast was simple indian style but very good. The very good thing there is that the hotel has a 24 hours check-in/check-out. That means if you check-in at for example 2am then you, can stay in the room until 2am the next day (also with Agoda voucher this is possible!). If you go there by car (I saw a car from the UK) there are 2 places under the ground floor of the hotel where there is a guard 24 hours. But there is also space beside the street! I always walked to the train station Kodambakkam (10 min normal walking - there you can use the Chennai suburban trains). By "taxi" you should not pay more than 30 - 40 Rupies.
Restaurant Tip:
If you walk to the railway station, you must cross the small street in front of the entrance of the hotel. Then follow the big street until you reach the next crossing. Don't cross but turn left. Just 1 house beside you can see a restaurant with the name "Hotel Rainbow - veg & non veg". There you can eat very well for a very good price. The most expensive meal is 120 Rs, average is 90Rs. They have wonderful fresh juices for only 20Rs. Don't worry to put ice cubes inside for mixing (if you want), because they are using ice cubes which are made from clean water! Just tell them not to add any sugar or salt inside the juice! Anyway the fruits there are sooo delicious and sweet enough!

we stayed at mannes for two nights after our flight from amsterdam. mannes is a good place to rest after a long journey. the room was clean, the bathroom was fine and we had hot water all day. the food at the rooftop restaurant was adequate, though we hated the big tv screen which was on all the time, with loud music.

it was a good start for my first trip to india! of course everything is still different, but in this hotel it wasn't too much and it is comparable with european hotels.
Shopping Tip:
some shopping streets of chennai aren't too far away, you could walk or take a bus. nearly every person knows which bus goes where and they're very cheap, but of course crowded. try not to be in a hurry, because when there's rush hour it's indian rush hour! the small street the hotel is in is surrounded by a safe area with hospitals and more hotels with restaurants. just around the corner is a big street though with lots of traffic and very poor people. white people are still an oddity in chennai, which is very strange for a city of this size.
