Ryan M. Couples Australia, August 05, 2012	Can't say much good about this place Above a nice restaurant 5.3 I found the staff to be lazy and unfriendly, at least the young girl and the old guy behind the counter. The old guy was grumpy every time we asked him a question like where something was. Their English isn't great which probably doesn't help. We bought 2 beers and they wouldn't put them in a fridge (maybe that's to be expected), although one of the bellhops went and got us some giant ice blocks and put them in a thermos. Location-wise it's in a bit of a black hole; a 15 minute walk to Marina Beach which is nice to check out at night (it's not a nice beach but there's a bit of a carnival feel going on with food stalls, children's rides and games) but otherwise several kilometres from what appears to be where all the action is around Anna Salai. The rooms are clean though and have air con which is nice. The hotel is overpriced for what it is. I wouldn't recommend staying here. In fact Chennai itself is not great, I'd recommend staying here for as little time as possible, use it for a hub to go elsewhere. Sorry to be so negative, I have left several positive reviews here and just being honest. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Stay in Chennai for as little time as possible, there's infinitely better stuff to see and do in India.
