Under-powered five star hotel; free wifi access is

The Accord Metropolitan has probably seen better days. It is at the low end of the five star experience. My welcome drink - a 20cl bottle of filter water without glass to drink it from - set the tone for the rest of my stay. My room was adequate without being lavish. The swimming pool was distinctly unattractive needing a refurbishment and thorough clean. Breakfast was poorly managed. Tables vacated by earlier diners were not cleared promptly so that there was nowhere free and I had to request a table to be made ready for me. Chef on the egg counter could not distinguish between omelette and scrambled eggs, the latter being no more than a dislocated version of the former. Service was acceptable but few staff went out of their way to make me feel particularly welcome.

Food was very good on roof top. they have got roof top restaurant on 12 floor which is very good. Rooms are clean . Good for business people . Not for vacation.

overall, i'm happy with the hotel except for the following:-
1) wifi in the room is very slow. need to stand near the entrance door to get good connection. very disappointed as my work requires constant connection with internet.
2) the in room telephone always non functional. at times there is no tone. very inconvenient to call room service, operator or friends in other rooms. already complain, repaired but problem still persisted.
Shopping Tip:
Excellent location for shopping as it is near T Nagar. Easy access to all the major attractions.
