I selected Vestin Park Hotel following reading several good reviews on a number of websites such as trip advisor. Arriving in the early hours of the morning I was pleasantly surprised with the manner in which check in was facilitated and by the overall friendliness and accommodating nature of the staff. The breakfast buffet was good both in terms of quality and value for money. I was so impressed overall that I reserved a room for my return trip through Chennai in April. That alone is the best endorsement I can provide.
Travel tip : Don't be afraid to use the autorickshaw drivers who frequent the front of the hotel. I found them to be very safe and knowledgeable drivers if you told them in advance to drive carefully. Always negotiate the price in advance.

This hotel is too expensive in comparison with others in Chennai and needs serious management improvement and facility renovation in order to get a two star rating even in Indian terms.
