Run by the Rathore family of Jodhpur, the hotel gives a faint glimpse into the lifestyle of former royals. Umaid Bhawan is just over 10 km from the airport and a mere km from the bus station, and provides complimentary pick-up services. Places to visit in the "Pink City" include the famed Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jal Mahal and Amber Fort. Guests can also go on a desert and village safari arranged by the hotel, alternatively you can hire a chauffeured car for sightseeing. Pay budget prices for a stay in royal surroundings when you check into Umaid Bhawan.

Couples United States of America, May 01, 2013	Surly front desk staff, nice rooftop dining Nice pool, great rooftop terrace for dining, faux-Rajasthan heritage style design 6.7 This is a relatively modern hotel decorated in a faux-Heritage design. There is a great rooftop restaurant that offers decent Indian and Western food which is convenient since it did not seem that were any other dining options in the quiet neighborhood where the hotel is located. There is also a nice pool. The real negative we found with this hotel was the front desk staff, which was surly and unhelpful with any request we had. The taxi services they offered were at exorbitant rates and the "boxed breakfast" that they gave us for our early morning check-out consisted of handing us four black bananas and two bruised apples. After spending months traveling and staying in hotels around Asia we found this to be the worst customer service we encountered.
