Gorbandh Palace Hotel Jaisalmer Info
Built in 1992 this place has some beautiful grounds and stylish friezes that make for a distinctive style and feel for the hotel. Gorbandh actually means a type of harness that desert women make and decorate for their husband's camel. Bedspreads are a nice centerpiece to the rooms, decorated in camel print and simple images. The restaurants are decent and the swimming pool is a good place to relax and pass the time. The tour desk can arrange horseback riding, camel and jeep safaris, and lots more.

Facilities -extensive ,nice quality, a great pool.
Restaurant too expensive.
Having a room at the rear of the building meant a bit of extra walking, the large size of the place seemed to miss the personal touch.
No service around the pool.
The Palace was large and this meant that the place felt big and not as personal as it could be.This might be improved by creating a atmosphere through color or heritage decor. A feeling of the personal touch was missing. The restaurant was expensive and it appeared to have few customers -this also did not help the atmosphere of the building.A busy restaurant would have added to the feeling of the building.
