Wonderful island of peace and tranquility

the fortune inn riviera is very well situated beside the tawi river, peaceful and clean.
it has several restaurants, and both the orchid and the earthen oven we tried out. we thought the indian food in the earthen oven was almost the best we have ever tasted in many years of travel in india.
the design of the interior of the hotel is very innovative with high lobby and interesting shapes and colours as well as a glass elevator.
the staff are very helpful and speak good english.
Restaurant Tip:
No need to go out - just eat at the Earthen Oven!

Book through Agoda when I arrive they did not know about my booking. once I showed them my Agoda booking they promptly got a room ready. Staff we professional and friendly.

Overall our stay was enjoyable and the staff was helpful and accommodating. The room was nicely decorated, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small and we ran into some problems here. The shower worked well and supplied hot water however the sink was leaking and water would collect on the floor. We also found a wicker basket under the sink that had mold and mildew on it, most likely from the leaky faucet. Though the service overall was good, we had asked for someone to fix the sink and while someone came to check it out, the issue was not fixed before we checked out. As for the food, we enjoyed a welcome drink of juice and ordered tea for room service which was delicious. Breakfast was included with our booking and the food was good and there were a lot of options. The coffee was not that good however, so we stuck with the tea. The location was also nice as it was on a less crowded street and overlooked the river.
