Beautiful location but remote

The rooms are pretty basic, but you will spend most time outside looking over the river. The hotel is several KM away from Kottayam, and its very calm and relaxing.

Booked through Agoda after seeing some reviews.Booking through agoda is simple and quick.Place is good and rooms are neat and clean.AC worked well arranged pickup from rly station as per our request.
Food is average and needs improvement.Over all it is a good place to relax.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
No nearby places to see as it is in a village.Kumarakom Jetty point is far and an auto rikshaw costs around Rs 250/-.

We stayed here for 2 days. The Booking was done via Agoda( again thanks and Cheers). The Room was very good, clean. This hotel is located in Aymanam near Kumarakom. We enjoyed the ambience and spent most of our time in the balcony ( with Books, Cup of tea ) watching the Kingfishers and an occasional boat. It was beautiful. Mr. Kurian is an amazing host - friendly and ready to help - he helped us make plans and next day we went to see Vembanad lake in a house boat. He made all arrangements ( Pick up and Drop in a cab and house boat as well. All we had to do is go see and come back and pay everything while checking out. When u sit in the balcony with a cup of tea, you can actually hear only the birds chirp and no other noise. nothing like it . this is situated a bit far from the hustle bustle of everyday life. It provides a quiet atmosphere if you're looking for a getaway from your humdrum existence. Highly Recommended !!
However Some tips/feedback to make it a better stay . Need to include more variety in the Menu Card.Also this hotel is in a remote place so there ideally nothing around to see and no options to go anywhere else to eat. so the only option is to eat in this place. When we come to Kerala we would definitely want to eat different kind of fish. There were not much options.

i travelled with my parents and children. there was pickup from the railway station.servicewas without any complaint on all the days we stayed. food was delicious and always served hot.the staff was always with a smile and very curteous.my parents and my children enjoyed everything about the place.great show guys!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Kumarakom and Backwater Retreatcouldn't be better.....a great vacationing place!!

Hospitality extended by the hotel staff & management were immensely excellent

This hotel is best value for money. Though the hotel is not much big, I am sure the guests will leave the hotel satisfied. Service poeple are very prompt and good. There is a back water river passing just behind the hotel and from the lobby one can experience the river and have refreshing batch. All rooms are bigger sized rooms.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Since this hotel is between the Kottayam City and Kumarakom which is sightseeing rourist place, all types of visitors eg. businessmen, shopping, sightseeing can choose this hotel

Hotellet är enkelt, man får valuta för pengarna. Man kan sitta på veranda och titta på fåglar. Utflykt med båt som är 3 timmar, går direkt från hotellet. Personalen är mycket hjälpsam och ordnar utflykter. Utflykt till fågel reservat var inget bra , det finns nästan inga fåglar att se i november månad, mycket mer fåglar ser man från hotellet och på båt utflykten. Maten på hotellet är enkelt men bra, vi var inte sjuka. Inga insekter trots att hotellet ligger vid vatten.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Utflykt med båt är ett måste, man ser många fåglar.
