Citizen Hotel is located literally on the beach, and not just any beach, it is located on Juhu Beach. Take a walk on the beach, or take in a view of the city at night via the waterways. A must visit monument is the Gateway of India, and is also a ferry terminal for tours around the city. The Bayview Restaurant at Citizen next to the beach, with an al fresco section and specializes in Indian, Chinese, and Continental dishes. Citizen Hotel offers complimentary airport transfers, currency exchange, and car rental facilities.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Location was good. Restaurant was goodd. Pity it is overpriced for the quality; rooms are small, bathrooms are tiny and not clean. It's more like a budget place disguising as a 3 star hotel. It's ok for one night in Mumbai.

Good if you like to be on the beach!

The hotel is in a great location on the beach and their restaurant is a great spot for a few beers at sunset and watch the kids play beach cricket and soccer. The restaurant has the option to eat breakfast indoors or outdoors. All waiters were great and went out of their way to accommodate me. The location itself is a very long way from the tourist area of "Gateway of India" but near the airport. Rooms are fine, make sure to turn on the switch for the hot water as I didn't discover the switch until my 3rd day so I had cold showers! The lobby area was suprisingly good with plenty of seating to use their free wifi. I would probably stay here again but if you are a tourist for just a few days, you are probably better off staying right down the south end of Mumbai (but then you have a very long drive from the airport).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Get the train from Santa Cruz station (platform 6) for 10 rupees to get to the Gateway of India. Train only takes 40 minutes instead of the 1 hour 20 minutes and 600 rupees in a taxi with crazy traffic!!
