it has been a very nice experience staying at the strand in mumbai. the location is perfect for getting around the gateway of india,just right at the middle of the main shopping street also very convenient to connect with the vt station.the surrounding also very nice and safe. We will stay there for the next trip to mumbai

The hotel is located just behind the sea, and very close to the Gateway of India.
The staff are polite and honest.
The accommodation is a bit old, and not very clean.
The hotel is located in the same street as the Gateway of India. However, it's not a famous one, thus not many taxi drivers know the location. It is a small, old-fashion hotel. The escalator is old, and the room is not well-polished. However, it is a safe hotel, and the staff are polite and honest.

Great location in Colaba is only 1 minutes walk from Taj Hotel and Getaway. There is a open restaurant in the top of the hotel with excellent view to the Mumbai harbour.
The rooms are clean, but very old. Could be good to paint out.
