Very close to the big shopping mall. Room is clean.
Not the nicest area to stay.
The hotel was very clean and tidy. There was a big shopping mall - City Centre just outside the hotel so I did all the shopping there. However, this is not the nicest area to stay. Hotels in Mumbai are expensive so I have no complain about the price but there were loads of people sleeping on the road very close to the hotel. Breakfast didn't really have much to offer either.
Shopping Tip : There is a big shopping mall just outside the hotel called City Centre. There were some clothing shops, local cafes, Nandos, and upstairs on the top floor, there was a big supermarket where you can buy clothes, fresh veggies, fruies and all kinds of foods.

Very friendly and helpful staff
Only one elevator resulting in long waits.
I found that the hotel was some distance away from the main city. The hotel is neat but a grand old dame and needs a major upgrade for the international tourist.Rooms not so pleasant and suited for your regular backpacker. Certainly would recommend to the budget traveller and those who just want a night's sleep.
Shopping Tip : Don't buy on your first walkabout in the area. You will get better prices on your second or third visit to this shops.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and neat rooms.
(For light sleepers) The only thing i didn't like about the hotel was prayers could be heard over loud speakers from nearby at 6 in the morning.
Due to airline traffic congestion and Mumbai traffic we didn't get to the hotel until 10pm, but once inside we were very impressed with the quick and courteous staff and shown to our room by very friendly bellboys. We ordered dinner from the room menu which was of a very high standard comparable with good Mumbai restaurants. The next day the hotel organised taxis that would not rip us off for sightseeing and to the airport.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : From the hotel a metered taxi can take you to see the famous dhobi ghat for about Rs.30 using a metered taxi.

Good location. Friendly helpful staff. Good value in Mumbai
Internet Services. Lifts - too small and too slow.
Hotel Sahil is well located at Mumbai Central for access to various parts of Mumbai. The staff are helpful with the doormen paying particualar attention with taxis. The rooms are smallish and quite simple but well organised. Most importantly the rooms are well maintained and clean. There is often a lenghty wait for the elevator - there are two but only one is for guests and the other for services.
Shopping Tip : Good shopping mall durectly opposite.

Conveniently located near train station and local amenities. Clean rooms and staff were friendly.
Breakfast wasn't brilliant.
Enjoyed the stay although it was brief. We spent two nights there and found the rooms in good state. The breakfast wasn't brilliant though. Would only recommend if it was a real good deal.
Shopping Tip : There is a local mall that sells all sorts of wierd and wonderful stuff and shouldn't be missed.

Good hotel for the centre of the city, taxis available 24/7, easy to get to many destinations except for during rush hours and in the evening time when it gets busy with the public.
Shopping Tip : Orchid City centre mall located opposite. Many shop with a wide variety of things to buy for presents.

As a business traveller on a hectic schedule who is willing to pay a little more to pay, I'd seek improved standards and a better environment.

Enjoyed our stay, aside from the walls being a little dirty, we have no complaints.
