i was on a transit to cochin in the early morning of the following day. the location is convenient for a transit within/outside of india. overall atmosphere is great as is provided by other leela hotels. there are some billable services while other hotels may provide on a complementary basis, which included car service from/to the airport and internet connection. facilities are nice, but somewhat seemed to be a little obsolete. this is still one of the top options to be selected. however, considering its pricing, there may be alternatives nearby.

the leela is a fine hotel but is no longer competitive. several new hotels now offer a similar or better product at a lower price. the leela has to rethink its tariff.

good experience. nice comfortable room. everything worked well. hotel lobby is set deep in from the main gate (about 150m) but they provide a car to bring guests between the lobby and the main gate.

Ideal location for International airport

Although I had booked a standard room, because my co-traveller had booked a club room I was upgraded without it ever being mentioned, which was demonstrated discretion and made my Agoda booking even better value. My review therefore reflects a "Club" stay. Champagne on check-in and luggage taken care of. Room adequate rather than spacious. The bathroom layout included a bath and separate shower reducing the "dry" area more than I would prefer. I found information about the Spa but it was unclear whether a gym was included and where the facility was located. A call quickly established this and the facilities were good; running, cycling, cross trainers and specific exercise machines with a full time trainer. Internet connection was fine although I needed to sign up for "24 hours" twice in 30 minutes. But when I mentioned it I was advised that the connection would be complimentary. Happy hour in the club lounge was a pleasant surprise; Free drinks and a buffet of snacks. Perfect accompaniment to watching India in the CWC semi final! although the white gloves seemed an unnecessary impediment to pouring the beers for the staff. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The chef personally taking care of my colleagues specific dietary requirements. Indian wine Grover La Reserve was very drinkable. The bed was a little harder than I would like but the duvet and pillows were beautifully soft and I slept well. The breakfast buffet was good but the menu driven cooked options created a communications barrier to the chef which resulted in Scrambled eggs "with" bacon arriving as scrambled bacon and eggs. I found there was too much personal attention for a meal I prefer to eat quietly alone with a newspaper. Others may enjoy omnipresent staff. I asked for a car to the airport to be included on my bill as I checked out but the receptionist made it "inclusive", which was a nice touch at the end.

Nice hotel close to airport

The Leela Kempinski is a nice 5 star hotel centrally located in Mumbai and very close to international airport. The hotel is well featured, has rooms that are modern, clean and of reasonable size. Restaraunt and food options are very good although a little expensive. Internet coverage is very good across the hotel and the pool area is very nice. The hotel is set within 11 acres of parkland and offers a welcome green and quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai.

Luxurious hotel with great service

I had a very comfortable stay at the Leela. Very helpful and friendly staff who dont overservice. Great food. I used the gym also and it was a good experience. The trainer at the gym was also friendly and gave me some very useful advice.
