The Park Navi Mumbai Hotel, Mumbai

Mainly a business hotel but if you've done all the touristy things in Bombay and want to chill for a few days this is also a great place. The food is excellent and would please the most demanding gourmet. Service is excellent. It's quite small and friendly and architecturally interesting. One to one and a half hours to the airports it's on a par with Colaba in that respect.

My three colleagues and I stayed in The Park Navi Hotel Mumbai in April 2009, when we were travelling to Mumbai for business. My secretary found the description and nice pictures of this hotel in the Agoda webpage, which promised good quality standards. Although the room-rates were not really cheap, but I decided to book four rooms in this hotel for a whole week through the internet, and fully paid the cost in advance by credit card. Unfortunately, the actual situation did not keep up to our expectation for a promisingly good international star-hotel standards. Overall cleanliness was acceptable, hotel staff and front office service were good, and food served in the restaurant were nice. However, our rooms were astonishingly quite small. Furthermore, when it is common nowadays in other international hotels to provide free internet connection, The Park Navi Hotel Mumbai still charged a considerably expensive rate for usage of internet connection. The surrounding area is quiet, as the location of the hotel is quite remote from the hustle of the daily business activities in Mumbai. You'll be able to see village people with their cows passing on the street just in front of the hotel. And when you are lucky, you'll be able to reach the nearest decent tourists shopping places, restaurants, and public facilities within approx. 20-25 minutes drive without traffic-jam.
