location and quality of rooms, friendly service
internet conection not always good, computer network could be upgraded
Ajanta hotel has a location that is hard to beat stone's throw away from the train station and the main Delhi bazaar and an easy walk to Connaught Place for uptown shopping and restaurants. The rooms where suprisingly good for the price, especially compared with what you get in as city such as Mumbai for the same money. And although the street is a bit noisy, this is not really a problem inside, especially for the rooms in back. The better rooms are really very nice and good value for the additional cost. Mini bar and restaurant are also quite reasonably priced, except for the buffet breakfast which is not really worth the RS 200 they ask. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay in such a big, hectic city.

Free Taxi pick up, Deluxe (buisness) rooms, Location.
Pushy staff trying to drain every last ruppie out of you, very false.
This hotel is in a good location in Delhi, couple of minutes walk from New Delhi Train Station and half an hour in a taxi from the airport, the free taxi pick up is great and saves you having to queue at the airport for the pre paid taxi counter, have used them twice and both times they have been there even when flight was late. The standard rooms are average for India but the deluxe (business) rooms are great and modern and well worth the extra, this site has the cheapest prices for this hotel.
The main downfall of this hotel is the over the top pushy staff you are on you constantly to see how they can get more cash out of you, example if you ask for a map you will be ushered into the back room where a woman will interrogate you about where you are going etc, and try flog you everything, day trips, guides, taxis you name it. There attitude is not very nice and although am sure there services can be very useful you just get the feeling they want to rip you off, which isn’t very nice. However if you just brush them off the overall hotel is decent for Delhi. The attached Restaurant is also very good.
Travel tip : They hand out maps without the metro stations on so that you will get a taxi with them, but it is much quicker to travel round Delhi by metro so get a new map somewhere else.

The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. There was internet-connection for the clients in the lobby.
The lobby was too small. The lightning of the room was bad, I couldn't read in bed.
When I arrived the hotel, the doorman opened the door and wished me welcome, which was very pleasant. I asked the staff to arrange me a silent room and I got it. However, I couldn't switch on the aircondition device, because it was noisy. The staff of the restaurant spoke English very well and was very polite. However, there wasn't any alcohol drinks on the list.

location to New Delhi train station
restraunt reasonably priced and ok food
Didn't provide airport pick up despite pre arrangement and 2 confirmations.
Blazee staff who tried to blame me for no airport pick up, and did not care that I had been a victim of a scam resulting from this.
Toilet seat had not been cleaned, had to do it myself.
When my hotel Ajanta airport pickup did not arrive I had to pre-paid taxi into Delhi, half way there they stopped at a hole in the wall tourist shop claiming they did not know how to get to the hotel (despite having a map that I showed), they lewered me into the shop where a consultant phoned my hotel and gave me the phone, they claimed that New Delhi station was being bombed and therefor all roads and hotels closed... but agreed to find me a suitable hotel and refund my hotel Ajenta pre payment. I gradually became angrier and demanded they take me to the hotel anyhow, which luckily they did... there was no bombing, and the hotel Ajanta was fine. Although the staff at reception tried to turn the blame onto me for the missing hotel pick up, and just shrugged when I explained the scam I had been lewered into when I had to find alternative arrangements. Otherwise the hotel is basic, sufficient, and possibly a little over priced.. but hey... its Delhi.
Travel tip : The internet accross the street demand you passport and pretty much your life history... Im not sure if this is a scam or not. It has cheap internet, but they ripped me off when I used the phone.
The hotel is close to New Delhi train station and Connaught place, but I would recommend taking a tuc tuc as its dangerous on the roads, the traffic is so hap hazzard, and the roads almost impossible to cross. Connaught place is a good remedy for those experiencing culture shock as its full of Western shops. Check out the revolving restraunt.

First, I got the best rate of this hotel through this website. Second, I asked them to pick me up from the airport and it was smooth and good. Third, my room was nice and clean. Forth, room service and meal were too good. Fifth, very cooperative staff. Sixth, business centre executive at the hotel was helpful too. Seventh, location of the hotel, very close to Connaught Place (The city hub).

Location - close (well fairly) to Connaught Place. Fairly clean. Good breakfast.
Located on a very busy street with hundreds of hotels. Not unfriendly but impersonal atmosphere. The polished surfaces in the photos on Internet are far from reality.
We were first shown to a room without window which we rejected. We got a room with window but unfortunately with the window came an irritating smell of food. Our room must have been located just above the hotels or somebody else kitchen. Complaining about the smell we were once again offered the window-less room so we stayed with the smell.
Breakfast was very good and the personnel at breakfast very friendly. I guess you can say the hotel is ok for a big city like Delhi. Nothing extra but ok.
Hotel Feature Tip : Since there are hundred of hotels on this street make sure you enter the right one. I went in to the hotel next door and did not realise my mistake until I was inside the room - right room number but wrong hotel.

Near to New Delhi station. Helpful staff. Free airport pickup.
Hotel doesn't bear much resemblance to it's online brochure. A bit shabby. Coffee took ages[but was served with many smiles]
Arrangements were exactly as per the confirmation despite our plane being over an hour late. Pickup is very valuable - saving much hassle and time - if you're staying in an 'off-main road' hotel like Ajanta. Rooms aren't fantastically clean, but they're acceptable.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get your auto-rickshaw outside the hotel and keep it for the morning/afternoon/day. It's cheap and it's probably the quickest way around the near city - and your driver will know where Ajanta is!

Nice location and a good restaurant.
The room is too small to spend much time in. Expect lots of street noise.
The room I was given was ridiculously small, with two single beds jammed side-by side with about 10cm between! That said, for the tourist looking to get out and about on in Delhi, it is a functional home base. It is a nice location with all the main monuments and sights within easy reaching distance. The New Delhi Railway station is nearby. Internet cafe on site is fairly reliable and fast, but is small and not very comfortable.

Very near New Delhi station.\nVery nice staff\nFun area.\nGood restaurant (though overpriced).\nA great roof cafe.
Not very clean.\nBedbugs and air condition not working
It is a reasonable hotel for a night or two. The staff are very helpful and the area around the hotel is a fun place for browsing and shopping, id you like small autherntic shops. There is however a lot of noise fra the streets below. remember to ask for a room with a window, the ones without are not good. The restaurantr is quite good and clean - you wont get sick. However the cleanliness of the rooms need improvement. i found bedbugs in mine, which was not the cheapest room in the hotel. Overall a nice, safe place though.

If you arrive to the airport, let the hotel know in advance the time and the flight number - it is easier and more confortable than searching for taxi. Car for transfer from airport waited for us for 2 hours because the plane was late.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you have a spare day, talk to the manager and rent a car to see the major sightseeing places. Do not take long walks in the neighbourhood :)

Central location, near railway station. BREAKFAST BUFFET good. Attentive room service.
The hotel can be used both for individual travelers as well as for families are recommended. The travel agency in the hotel has good suggestions for tours and has a grip on the organization. 6 computer compartment is available on the Internet for customers. These are very busy - possibly would be an increase in the number of computers wünschenswet.

I did so to arrange a decent price for a train ticket agent in the hotel.
Check out the refrigerator when it is not used at all, unfinished bottles of mineral water (very worn out) to bring charges. The mood worsened in the last minute to complain because they say could be withdrawn. Careful as you please.
Availability of power outlets to recharge a mobile more trouble off the only bathroom in the high places. Television, refrigerator, air conditioning, electric fan and need to be together, and困RIMASHITA冷ENAKU or even water in the fridge so it was dropped and the power goes out. But I feel that the way it goes with the price.
