Ashok Country Resort, New Delhi

Although the hotel is situated near the airport there is no noise disturbance from airplanes. The trip takes about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport. We strongly recommend contacting the hotel to arrange pick-up at airport. There are prepaid taxis available upon arrival at the airport but not all drivers know where the hotel is situated and the taxis (vehicles) are not the type of car you want to travel in, unless you're the Indiana Jones type. Make sure to have local currency (small notes) to tip the drivers, porters, other staff or persons you request a service from.\nThe hotel itself has nice gardens and is very well kept, its an oases of peace and calm.\nThe hotel is situated on a very busy road but we didn't experience any noise problems as our room was situated to the back of the hotel.\nReception staff is efficient. All staff is very friendly and willing. However a general remark regarding the Indian way of running things, Indian people are very proud, however not all of them understand English very well and they will say Yes although they might not have understood your request. Please stay calm don't take offence and ask you question again, things tend to go a little slower in India. Definitely a hotel I recommend and would stay at again.\nHappy travels!\n

It was a mistake to stay at the Ashok Country Resort as the place is nothing what they claim. The Radisson and other places are much much better than this hotel. The location, rooms, amenities ,food--everyting is very inferior. I will never stay their again and won't recommend it to anybody.
