Not so impressive selling point.
I like to hotel that it is not very far from airport. It takes around 30 minutes from International airport. The room quality is in standard of 5 star hotel. Facilities in the room is standard. However, no toilet supplies such as toothpaste, shaving kit, slipper given in the room. After I requested, the housekeeping brought for me.
Food for breakfast was ok. Internet is available at 750 INR for 24 hrs.

quiet but central location still a 10 min walk to Conaught circle
There is a big difference between the hotel description and the actual Hotel. Metropolitain is far away from being a 4 or 5 star accomodation. It is a convenient, average boring place. Nothing exciting but nothing terrible either.
The staff is s-l-o-w, breakfast buffet fine, but never enough glasses or drinks and you might be done with eating before you'll get your coffee.
Internet access is very slow and complicated.
Security boxes are tiny and ours did not lock,...
This was our first stay at the Metropolitan. We were rather disappointed, but soon got used to the smell of the room, the slow service in the restaurant and the 'proximity' to Connaught Circle. We did want to go through the trouble of changing hotels - So we stayed 5 nights.
After all, it was quiet and still a convenient location. The only thing I really liked were the beautiful ball shaped ceramic vases in the hall. :-)

They allowed me to check in to my room at 6 am, enabling me to have a quick nap before exploring Delhi. This was excellent service when arriving too early in the morning.
Hotel has all you would expect from a 5 star (Nikko group) albeit fading fast.
Decor is a little faded. Service in the restaurant for breakfast was quite slow.
I found this to be a very good hotel, located close to Connaught Place and thus quite centrally. The front desk staff were very friendly and competent. Even allowed me to print out a voucher in their back office.
Staying in this kind of place is a real heaven sent when in Delhi where everything is hustle bustle and dusty and sticky.
