I saw the Agoda reviews and jumped on it but later found it to be a hotel with its hand out...always looking for tips. No matter what amount of tip I gave (restaurant, guy taking me to my room, etc) I always got the same look - "Is that all?". I booked a trip through them because their cost was the least and failed to read the fine print - basically nothing was included except transportation and hotels- for the amount I paid I think entrance fees should have been included or a guide.
When I checked out the day of my trip and prebooked for a return stay they asked for more money to hold my baggage and only after arguing that point did they give in.
I think most of the people that work here are friendly but are they truly nice orlooking for a tip...I never knew.

it is located in a small street full of small hotels. the outlook is the best among all and i believe that it is the only one make you feel safe and clean in that area.

Good location but a little basic

This was my first introduction to India. The location was great and the staff helpful. It was cold and there were not enough blankets for me and the fire they gave me didn't work. I would stay again however as the price was good and the location, by the central train station, excellent

The staffs in this hotel are friendly and helpful . It is also assessable to the Railway n Metro station . The food they serve in the Restaurant is good . They attend to complaints n make it as comfort as possible .I will surely want to go back .

Deco-Inspired Budget Hotel in Backpacker District
Value, service, proximity to train station.

Surprisingly clean and well-appointed hotel in the otherwise squalid backpacker ghetto of Delhi. Room was tidy and quiet, with basic amenities. Deco-inspired interior design that's seen better days but still functional. The staff with whom I dealt were pleasant and attentive. A far cry from a luxury boutique hotel, but a reasonably good value for budget travelers.

We stayed in the "back building".
The room was ok and clean in india standards.
The staff is helpful.
The location is so so.
Its not a nice neighborhood.
And getting from the metro to this hotel is awful.
The area around the train station is a "hood" in the worst way.
The food was ok. But a lot of hairs on the pizza was not ok.
Wifi was working good.

traveling to india for the first time, solo, i wanted a nice hotel to land at to ease me into it! (still on a bit of a budget though) ajanta was fantastic, hotel transfer went seamlessly, staff speak good english, there are some female staff which is nice! the first room i had was clean but a bit noisy - the room i had next was really lovely though. bar fridges in rooms have water and food at market prices - very handy! rooftop area is nice, restaurant is not cheap for indian standards but food is good. no hot water first two days was only negative. i'd stay there again... as with anywhere in india though - bring ear plugs!

food in the cafe was good - especially morning buffet, and service good, though not cheap by delhi standards. room was a tad shabby with walls flaking off, and shower was not
much more than a drizzle, but it worked out ok for a place to land. desk set me up with way overpriced taxi who did not know where i was going (close by) and who tried to charge me for parking in the wrong place. the price made it worthwhile as i got a great 3 night discount through agoda.

this is a hotel with good location which is near to the train station. there are a lot of lovely local eateries where travellers can try local cuisine and get close to the local people. staff is nice and helpful and the reception area is well furnished. there is an elevator in the new building, making it easy to get the luggages upstairs.
