You don't have to use an agent to buy your train tickets, go direct to the railway station. However if you use the hotel's recommended tourist office , you might end up taking a tour elsewhere as they always seem to have waiting lists for train tickets. We did, and what a great trip it was..to Kashmir !Hotel a bit overpriced for facilities offered but would recommend it .

Wonderful sanctuary in the centre of chaos!!!!
The decor is beautiful. The staff are fantastic. The location is great.

It really was the best hotel i have stayed in in India....... The staff are so courteous and delightful, the room feels lovely, and clean, and so quiet, I had one with a window. It really felt like a sanctuary in the middle of Connaught place, and a room I wanted to be in, to relax in, and to enjoy.... I love it and will be coming back every time I come through Delhi.

The Hotel Bright was one of the best during my trip to India. The central location made it very convenient for restaurants, movies theaters, and public transporation. It was small but had really kind, focused workers giving me all the attention I required. I needed money changed and no banks or money change establishments were open, but they exchanged money for me at a very good rate. Security was always on hand outside the hotel. I enjoyed my stay very much.
Restaurant Tip:
Haldiram's and Sagar Ratna were very good restaurants with very good service and food just a few blocks away on the Indira Chowk circle with the hotel.

my main reason in dehli was enroute to visit taj mahal in agra. however, i was glad that i chose hotel bright. arriving past midnight in delhi, i must say i was a little scared when my driver stopped infront of a buidling which look like it's still half under construction. however, all my anxiety lifted when i stepped into hotel bright's reception. it's small but very nice and staff members were professional in every way (thanks for the help with car booking guys). my room was clean and beautiful (love the comfy bed) and equipped with cable tv. the bathroom was also clean and modern - totally up to my expectation. what's more, breakfast was served right to your room by personal room service - nice... :)

The manager is lovely. Vert polite, friendly & helpful, and he speaks excellent english.
24hr security at the street entrance. Lots of shopping near by, as well as restaurants and bars. Delhi is very busy and noisy, my room was on the first floor, facing the street, and was quiet inside. Cumfy bed, clean bathroom and a safe in the room. I was very happy and recommend Hotel Bright.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Visit Gandhi house. India Gate. President & Parliament house.
I did a day trip to Taj Mahal. Hired a driver with car. It takes around 4-5 hrs each way, so either stay overnight, or leave very early.

prepay taxi from airport to hotel, hotel arranged taxi to airport 900rs, same black/yellow van, but 320rs airport one is poor and noisy, hotel booked taxi is new nice and clean.
there is a disco right downstairs, if you want to high, go there, if you want to sleep, don't pick up room 106 during weekends or new year eve...lol...i had fun, but not enough sleep...

Good room but the hotel is located in a bad building, it is still on fitting-out works. Out side the hotel, the building is dirty.

Simply the best

i have stayed in many such hotels all accross new delhi, but this is simply the best. polite and couteous staff, location is superb, extremely comfortable beds, very neat and clean hotel. breakfast was awesome specially the paratha. you can be mistaken for a 5 star hotel once you step into this hotel, however, the entarnce was lill doggy but passby that and you into a heaven between chaos of delhi. i met the owner of this hotel who personally takes care of small details here. its a small hotel but very cozy. i am 100% sure to come back here. my strong recomendation for this hotel :a must try".....my best wishes to staff of hotel bright....specially to depak (service boy) keep smiling always....cheers
Restaurant Tip:
This downtown area houses many restaurants but I liked @live, a restaurant with live band every evening, great food.
