Receptionists/manager were simply bad. It says free airport pickup on the website, forced us to at for it. Room I booked was not available and tried to convince me to accept a smaller room saying "it's just for one night." Unbelievable.

It was a wonderful experience staying in Grand Godwin. Must say got much more from this hotel than expected. Ambiance is good, nice food, nice staff. I would surely recommend this hotel to others.

Absolutely the Worst Service. Avoid at all Cost.

I have never written a bad review before but I feel compelled the inform other travellers on my bad experience.
We had arranged for a airport pickup taxi on the day of my arrival. However we waited more than one hour before the driver showed up. In the midst of waiting, I called up the hotel manager to ask them on the status of the pickup, but i was told to keep waiting.
When the driver did arrive, he claimed that he was waiting at a different gate all along, at a different location as stated in my email communication to the hotel. While at the hotel, the hotel staff insisted that I pay the parking charges despite the fact that the driver went to a different arrival gate.
The service of the hotel staff in Grand Godwin is downright appalling as well. During check in, one of the evening staff who requested our passports for verification actually THREW IT across the table back at my partner nonchalantly afterwards.
In addition, the reception staff were never helpful as well. When asked on how to reach any destination, the reception staff bluntly told me to just take a auto rickshaw and then simply ignored us thereafter.
Service aside, the facilities of the hotel was okay. Wifi is not available in the rooms but only in the reception. The doorbell of the room is electronically controlled however it kept going off on its own. The staff dismissed it as a minor technical error, but note the doorbell could go off while you sleep too.
Overall this is a horrible hotel to stay in. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Horrible management, unwilling to be flexible

When we arrived we were greeted with the sounds of loud banging, we were assured that the construction would end by 6 pm but we found out that it really was about 7:30 pm. After being on an overnight bus all night all we wanted to do was relax in our room but that was impossible with the banging happening right next to our room. We asked management if we could be moved and they said that they couldn't do anything for us. Very rude managers and can't handle a customer with respect.

Go see the H. tomb... really nice

We received a welcome reception when we arrived extra early at the hotel. Despite being so early, we only had to wait about 15/20 mins and they checked us into our room. The whole hotel including the room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful. The helpdesk in reception tried to be quite pushy encouraging us to book their taxis, but other than that it was an enjoyable stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If possible, ask the porters outside the hotel to help you negotiate with the tuc tuc drivers. We found with their help, we got a much better rate!

We were given rooms at second floor which are quiet, clean & spacious. The classic spiral stairs and the capsule glass lift are the features of the hotel. Breakfast served is nice and good taste. In short, we had a comfortable stay with Grand Godwin!

we had a pleasant stay, very nice rooms, very clean, the staff are very friendly and very handsome.... the manager spend time to talk and had tea with us. the morning buffet was fabulous, very good food and very warm staff also. the city tour was very cheap, the hotel is a walking distance to the new delhi railway station, ideal for those planning to so to agra to see the taj mahal.
Shopping Tip:
go ro karol bagh or chandni chowk and always huggle to at least half the price.

The hotel is located in the big city which is crowded. However, it is convenient to go by rented cars, taxis, and walking. We stayed at this hotel two days. The first day, everything was OK. for me, but the second day, I noticed that the bathroom was a bit dirty especially the on the top of the seat of the toilet.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The interesting tourist attractions that you should not miss are Khanji museum, Luksamee temple and so on.
