Basic Hotel
Main highway has good range of hotels, bars and restaurants.

Basic Hotel with willing staff but difficult to find due to back street location someway from main highway A8.
Could be cleaner round fans and switches. Linen fine.
Local Taxi Office on main highway should be used as hotel rates are expensive. Breakfast served in room fine and good portion sizes.
Restaurant Tip:
Pind Balluchi Restaurant, 13, Ground Floor, Regal Building, Connaught Place. Good food and drink, reasonable prices when compared to establishments on Inner Connaught Circle.

The hotel needs to be rebuilt!!!

i travel a lot and stay at a wide variety of hotels ranging from youth hostel. hotel madhuban is un-stayable. if i did not arrive at midnight and need to go in the morning, i would have moved to another hotel. facts:
- the room is mould and smelly from its adjacent alley. i was put in g/f and there was no window.
- pillow are all grey and yellow - with shoe mark on! no bedsheet either.
- bath room is dark and smelly - only one moist towel.
- reception kept their loud tv on (after midnight), and the very loud phone keep ringing. we struggle to sleep. we asked for another room upstair but they said it is full and not possible!
- i arrived by taxi (pre-paid from airport). while i didn't have change, the manager said i should give tips to the driver. breakfast? they only provided toast and tea. the manager said he was doing us a favour even to give us coffee.
- early next morning, the toilet next door flooded into our room!!!! we were forced to do an exodus!!!
i believe the facts are self-explanatory....

Depressing, hard to find hotel
Close to airport. Has everything you need if only sleeping in between flights.

The hotel room was dark and possibly dirty, and the man at the reception was not friendly. But it does have a decent bed and bathroom and you can buy water. Use only if you are arriving late one night and leaving early the next morning.

I arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning, so I cannot tell much. Nice room, enough room, clean linen, fine bed. The staff arranged me a pre-paid taxi to the airport and woke me up by phone. The taxi there costed 160 rupias, in the opposite direction it was 300. May be because of a early call (4.45am).
