Hotel OK for short stay at 20 min to connaught pl.

We where there for a short stay after a trip in India.
Staf was OK, helpfull and at the reception was knowledge from the English language.
Hotel lies at a busy road but in the room there was no excessive noise from the traffic. Room was clean and the bed was good altough we preferre 1 matras in stead of 2.
There is a swimmingpool at the rooftop which was cleaned extra when we wanted to swim.
There is security outside the hotel and this is good because of the beggers who harrassed us at the time we left the taxi.
There is a market in the neighbourhood on walking distance. It is not recommended to walk over the street at night.
A nice restaurant(Chinees) at the 16th store lies accros the station. This is on walking distance from the hotel.
The breakfast should have some more variation.
Transfert to airport arranged by the hotelreception took us not more than 25 min at 11 pm.

I was very pleased with my 11 days of stay.Felt very much at home.Service is excellent.Any thing you ask is delivered promptly Rooms are clean spic and span.The entire staff is cordial and courteous. Good location in Nehru Place makes it an ideal place to stay.

the other reviews i had seen on the internet had set a high bar for shervani hotels, regarding the cleanliness and the service. the staff at shervani nehru place exceeded all of those expectations! i stayed there on my first trip to india -- because i did not know all of what to expect in delhi, i chose shervani nehru place instead of either of the other locations. the only reason i would recommend either of the other locations is that they are more central than the one in nehru place. however, one may make one's way to connaught place (rajiv chowk) easily on the handy metro line nearby -- the metro station is five minutes from the hotel, and rajiv chowk is fifteen minutes' ride from nehru place.
the complimentary breakfast buffet features mostly indian vegetarian food with a few european / american dishes. both types are good, and it provides options for those of us who love indian food and those who are unable to tolerate spiciness.
in short: shervani nehru place was amazing!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Lotus Temple is a 20-25-minute walk from Shervani Nehru Place. If you stay at this hotel, definitely go to this centre of Baha'i worship -- it's a must-see for individuals of any (or no) faith.

A small hotel , i don't think its worth 4 star hotel. Smaller room with small bed even though i book a big bed at first.
The location is nice, with restaurant and metro near by, lotus temples and a university.
Mini bar inside is nice.
The price is higher compared with other similar hotels.
As a four star hotel,the wifi speed is not as fast as it should be.

if you're looking for a budget hotel this is good. be ware that it is far from everything you will need and that taking a taxi is totally needed. would i stay here again... no! i think i would try another location preferably a location that everyone rants and raves about in new delhi. but it was nice to catch up on some amazing well missed sleep.
