the location is difficult to locate

very difficult to find the hotel, it took about 1hour to locate it. The manager very rude at the time of check in.The room is not bad except toilet a bit dirty and need to maintain.The manager booked the taxi to airport is not honest and would increase the price last minute on departure to airport.

hotel was clean and quiet . beds were comfortable. rooms were clean and spacious. the staff was excellent. amazing service. always helpful and always smiling.
breakfast was simple but good. staff made great efforts to provide us with breakfast even when we were leaving really early on trips.
hotel is a bit hard to find as its on a side street. it would be helpful if the hotel sign stuck out a bit so that its easier to see as you are circling the area looking for the right alley to turn into.

No safety box in the room

Near market by walking 10 mins or by lekshore 3-5 mins. Room is nice but breakfast is not so good. One more thing, the room is not keep voice you will here everything from the room next to you.

A worthy hotel

i have been stayed in many hotels in delhi as i have to travel to india 2-3 times a year, my experienced with hotels in delhi were not quite good but sohi residency has changed my experienced. my 4 days stayed in the hotel was a very good experienced, i stayed in room 003, the room size was good, clean and the bathroom were modern furnished, the hotel offer a free wifi with a very good speed helped me to facetime with my family every night easier. the serviced available 24hrs. and the staff were really nice. the room service will come and clean the room everyday. overall i would says it's very much worth the money you spend.
Shopping Tip:
the hotel is near to karol bagh market, where you can find almost everything starting from a 1 rupee stuff till a million rupees jewelly. the karol bagh metro is just a 10 minutes walk from hotel where you can go almost anywhere in delhi.

Nachdem wir es endlich zu dem Hotel geschafft haben, empfing uns ein freundliches und bemühtes Personal. Der Service war gut. So durften wir, um unsere weitere Reise zu planen, den einzigen Rechner im Hotel benutzen- und das für 2 Stunden. Die Zimmer waren im Großen und Ganzen sauber.
Das Hotel liegt etwas vom ganzen Rummel entfernt, was wir als sehr angenehm empfunden, da man trotzdem schnell an allen points of interest war.
Leider war das Frühstück sehr basic, aber zum satt werden reichts. Schließlich kan man auch gut das indische Essen woanders genießen.
Travel tip:
Unbedingt die Warnhinweise in den Reiseführern beachten!!! D.h.: wenn man ein Hotel gebucht hat, sich nicht in einer tourist information zum stornieren und umbuchen breitschlagen lassen, weil das Taxi (obwohl es staatlich ist) das Hotel nicht findet!

New modern hotel

We had a great stay at the Sohi. It is located in Karol Bargh which is just three metro stops away from Rajiv Chowk (Connaught Circus). The hotel is just 5-10 minutes walking distance away from the metro stop which for us was very important. The area of Karol Bargh is ok, there is a kind of pedestrian area with market not too far from the hotel. Our room was really nice, all modern and clean. The staff was attentive and helpful even though a bit tip-hungry. They offered us to leave our rucksacks behind whilst out of town for a few days for free which we did. We did return to the Sohi and always would do when in Delhi as the value they provided for the money we paid was great. Only let down is that there is no proper hotel restaurant. Though they offer room service with great food.

A bit removed from the main action

The room looked exactly like the one in the Agoda photograph, except that there was no window, which tends to cut you off from the world a bit. Most of the facilities worked properly. Breakfast was basic, but OK. The lift didn't work for a while, then was fixed except that it would not go to, or stop on, the third floor, which was where my room was. The "safety deposit box" turned out to be the receptionist's desktop drawer, which was unsatisfactory, especially as the reception personnel constantly rotated, and my wallet with passport, cash, credit cards etc was handed over to me whenever I asked for it, even by staff who had never seen me before. The hotel is a bit away from the main streets of Karol Bagh, which makes it quiet, but there is a five minute walk to restaurants and a ten minute walk to the Metro.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Google maps has this hotel on the wrong side of the wrong street, so don't trust it. It IS in the correct general vicinity.

Had a wonderful stay, would strongly recommend to other travellers. Restaurant seating area couldve been nicer but in a good location so pleanty of choice outside
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Book taxis from hotel, we booked from elsewhere because we thought it was cheaper but at the end the driver was charging extra, had a big argument but really shouldve booked with the hotel.

Good rooms but poor location...

Taxi drivers got lost quite a bit in the area trying to locate the hotel. It seems the whole neighborhood is under construction and in any case it is not very inviting. However, we really enjoyed the room and the professionalism of the staff.
