Very comfortable but a few complaints

The hotel was certainly very comfortable and the bathroom felt like a spa in its own right. The buffet breakfast was huge and had many types of delicious food to choose from. However, I don't expect to have to pay Rs. 200/hour for Internet access in my room when already paying Rs. 8,000 for a night's stay. Also, the AC was not working properly in the lobby and lounge area, which is horrible during a Delhi summer. Again, not what I'd expect at this price. Finally, I could not get my room warmer than 24.5 degrees without turning the AC off... not really an option when it's over 40 degrees Centigrade outside! So the temperature kept me awake at night.

Good hotel, but poor service and poor response to complaints. Internet did not work in room. Service was promised to fix it but not delivered. Had to change room. Hot water was not available for one day.

Fantastic hotel to end our India trip

We had our final night in India in this hotel before flying home. It is a perfect choice for an airport hotel. Clean, comfortable modern rooms. The hotel is only 15 minutes away from the airport, but not so close that you are bothered by airplane noise.
The swimming pool is huge, the gym well equipped and there is a nice sauna, jacuzzi and steam room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Visit the nearby shopping malls for a different experience of modern India

Service not as good as before

service in grand used to be prompt nad efficient. however, during the stay this time, first, the tv was not working, i asked someone to repair it. the technician is slow, though patient, but the housekeeping guy with him is not willing to wait for the completion of the work. he even suggest me not to watch tv...

a cold and unfriendly hotel

my husband and i decided to spend a quite new year's evening at the grand.it was truly a quiet evening and morning as even the hotel staff didn't think of smiling and wishing us for the new year!!
the room was far from grand. the decor was bland and cold.the most disappointing was the wash room.all black and dimly lit,it was an accident waiting to happen in there.
the breakfast buffet that came complimentary was again an experience i wouldn't like to have again. though the spread was good,the service was definitely the worst. we went through b'fast without any tea/coffee!!no one came and served us any! and the restaurant manager who was doing the rounds of the tables did not once come to our side to enquire.
check out was as dead as any time else. i got a 'happy new year' only after i wished the gentleman at the counter.
the hotel is nothing great but if only the staff would be more pleasant,warm and welcoming,i would think of going back.

Nice hotel but pathetic service

IT was one of the worst stay in a five star hotel for me. The hotel looked more like a marriage hall than a five star hotel. The service was pathetic to say the least. Starting at the door where porters were to be requested to pick up the luggage, to reception where it took the front office staff more than 5 min. to attend to guest service which took more than 45 min. to arrange for a simple power extension and adapter. Business center was unattended. Tea was served without the tea spoon, every time.
Travel tip:
Stay on railway platform but don't stay in this hotel specially in marriage season.

Such a relaxing treat!

The room is nice and clean. And the service is always prompt as needed.Not only this, the greeny environment offers a really relaxing atmosphere, which I didnt expect to see in Delhi. The buffet is really nice. The breakfast buffet included Chinese or Japanese breakfast options, which is very good for a guest coming from asia like me. The location of this hotel is also great. It takes only 15 minutes from the hotel to the international airport, which made it so easy. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning and got to check in and move luggages into our room at 9am. Very good service. The only thing that ever bothered me was the little light of the smoke sensor on the ceiling. It shimers at nights which made it hard to fall asleep. Hope they can improve this.
