Enjoyed my stay . Good service. It was a pleasant experience staying at this great hotel. I would recommend to anyone this good and historic hotel. The food, service and restaurants were all excellent. The bathrooms were clean and modern. The service staff were most helpful.

On arrival nice and safe reception, Hotel has a great locaton close to Connaught place and shopping areas. Service excellent throughout the stay. All information needed was given by reception. Internet service and wifi without problem. Nice festival arrangement by hotel one night with music and dance

A good hotel but needs better administration

Lalit possesses the facilities of a five-star hotel. Yet coordination among different departments require improvement.
We arrived after 2 a.m. due to a late flight. The person at the front desk said he would give us a good room. He led us to the room, but the room was locked from the inside and he could not open it. We was allocated another room. After we paid the tips, we found out there were only adequate provisions for one person. We had to ask for one more pairs of slippers, toothbrush, face towel etc. First a person knocked on the door and brought two cups, and we said we did not need them. Then came two guys holding hands-full with a set of full provisions for a room, mostly items we did not request. I had to dig out the items we needed one by one - it was a funny yet frustrating scenario at 3 a.m. In addition, the hotel booklet claimed that a hair dryer was provided at the bath room, but there was none. So we had to request for one, and paid another round of tips. All these things were irritating and should not have happened in a five-star hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Breakfast is good, but the hotel restaurant is very expensive, setting price at world standards.

This hotel was a welcome break from the other places we stayed in northern India. The rooms, by US standards are not terribly expensive, but the hotel is very nice and upscale. The service and accomodations were excellent, and the staff was friendly. Would highly recommend! The food is a bit expensive and not worth the price, but very convenient.

Really nice hotel but everything was priced very high so did not eat here apart from the inclusive breakfast.
Well positioned on a quiet road in the centre of Delhi.
Travel tip:
Use hotel but eat elsewhere and find external wifi hotspot.

centrally located in new delhi; 5 m walk to connaught place.great place to relax after a day in delhi. tasteful decor and well designed rooms. great views. the beds are very comfortable. bathrooms have a bath and a walking in shower. complementary water and fruit is provided in the bedrooms. room service is prompt. concierge and reception services are efficient. breakfast is varied and of high quality. the outdoors pool is warmed up allowing a swim in the coldest days. this is a great feature as many hotels in india have unheated pools which are cold and useless in cold weather. it was my second stay and i will definitely be staying there when visiting delhi.
Restaurant Tip:
The Zen restaurant in the inner circle Connaught Place has great quality food at sensible prices.
