Exquisite hotel but apparently confused

The staff were pleasant but after having been in Jai Mahal I could see the stark difference. Here at Leela the staff very courteous but one can see that it is their job.
I think I smile more than the staff do. Ironically they always get my name wrong mmmmmm... but like Radisson I got no response to my email to the hotel explaining it is important to know the name of your guest.
They were very accomodating and did open the gym at 4am at my request. They also were willing to consider your request for food allergies or recommend places to go (ask the chaffeur not the conceirge would be my advice).
Hotel Feature Tip:
It is such a grand hotel with heavy security and one feels safe. Furthermore it is a fairly new hotel situated near the diplomatic enclave

I bave been in enough hotels around Asia and America to recognize whether a hotel is good enough for me to want to go back. And most 4-5 star hotels are. Leela Palace, however, is exceptional in that every single staff from the doorman to the receptionist to the concierge, to the room service staff exude politeness, respect, and a genuine desire to please the guest. And it does not come off as if they are trying too hard. I sensed it when I arrived, all the way until I boarded the car to go to the airport. In that way, it was very remarkable and complements the excellent hotel amenities. An excellent package I must say, and the hotel's people shine most of all.

Pure Luxury!
The best hotel in Delhi - feel like Maharaja

We chose to stay in this hotel for half a day between different flights. However, during these few hours we used all opportunities the hotel provides. I went to the rooftop swimming pool that was warmed up in December (outside temp was +5C) and My wife went to their spa section. Our overall experience is amazing. It is definitely the best hotel in Delhi, and when we come next time to the city - we'll book the room there.

The Leela Palace was a wonderful place to spend our Christmas, my husband's birthday and our anniversary. The staff was lovely and so efficient and pleasant.
One thing to note however is the hotel cars are very expensive. A hotel drop to the airport is the equivalent of about $100 while the local taxi which the concierge can arrange is less than $10 and very comfortable and efficient and picks you up at the door.
Restaurant Tip:
The food at Le Cirq was exceptional while at the Japanese it was a little overpriced.
