Excellent hotel with friendly staff
friendly staff, big room, great ammenities

we booked this hotel before the trip thinking it was something else. on arrive we were shocked, however after just one night were thanking out lucky stars. the hotel is split by the main road into two sections, one for hotel rooms the other for suites and cottages. we booked a cottage and were amazed at the size of the room. it was very clean, modern and had all the mod cons including an ipad which controlled the lights, tv, air con and even locked/unlocked the front door. the staff were always friendly and willing to help with our queries. we will definitely be back to this place. a needle in the haystack which turned out to be worth every penny!
Nightlife Tip:
The hotel is on a back street and 5-10minute walk from the main strip. Perfect distance to the enertainment center without any of the noise!

Standard Boutique Hotel
Location..walk to the beach is just 2mins
6.3
Casa de goa is a standard boutique hotel. the food & variety was not that great. the rooms were not cleaned regularly and were done only one in a day.
After we complained to the reception the service improved...Also for a day there was a bday party running till midnight with loud songs being played..that was definetly a irritant
the best part for the hotel is location. it is located in a quite neibhour hood near calagute beach and there is a small back lane going to the beach which is 2 mins..also this part of the beach is quite and better than main calagute & baga which are too noisy

Great value for money hotel.
Not in the centre of town, great staff & value for money.

you get what you pay for here, a decent just out of town hotel that offers good valued rooms on the eastern side & twin room suites decked out with ipad controllers for all amenities on the western side. paid triple for hotels in mumbai that offered a tenth of the class of casa de goa. the staff were super friendly, food was great & overall i was happy with the stay. the only downfall of this hotel was the breakfast selection. if you are not afraid to carboload then you will be fine. notmuch in the way of western style breakfast on offer but not all that bad.
Travel tip:
If you wish to hire a scooter or Enfield to see the sights, there is a hire place 100 meters down the road. Ask for Damien, friendly guys.

great value for money hotel
nice pool, good breakfast and courteous staff
8.3
it was great fun staying in casa de goa, we checked in the hotel for 4 night stay but wanted to extend the stay for couple of more days mainly because of hospitality. the pool is excellent though it gets closed by 7 pm which i personally didnt liked. the staff is courteous, the only cons i can think of is the room service is tad slow.
Nightlife Tip:
Tito's is about 3 kms away from Casa de goa, I would suggest renting a bike for a complete day instead of using taxi to commute from hotel to Tito's as it would cost the same

writing tghis review for my wife and dughter who stayed there over the christmas / new year break. What says it all is that they also stayed there last year, but were unable to get in for the full month this year, due to the hotel being booked. Good location, close the beach and the nearby town of Calangute, with its many longer term ex-pats. easy acces to the bars and clubs along thge Baga Road. All in all a good hotel by the local standards, and well worth a visit.

Good hotel with comfortable rooms
Rooms are well furnished with excellent fittings in the washroom. Room service is prompt and efficient.
5.7
the location is not so good although once we were in the resort it was quite comfortable. breakfast service was lousy. these guys really need to improve in this area. looks like the resort needs some local publicity. even in the immediate neighbourhood locals do not seem to know that it exists.

We ended up paying $52 inc. taxes for the hotel, which seemed to be a low price, given the fact that the rates had been much more earlier in the season. The hotel was decorated in a Portuguese fashion, and resembled an old mansion. The standard rooms décor was tired, and the bathroom was not the most modern at all, room also had no coffee or tea. Needless to say, it did the job. We had a lovely little patio that overlooked the courtyard pool, which was about 10 feet away. The air con worked way too well in the room, and there was no safety deposit box. The hotel was also located about 2.5 blocks down from the main street, which was enough so that you felt you were not in the center of the action, and was quiet enough. Breakfasts were pretty good, with juice, instant coffees and brewed teas, an egg station and freshly prepared Indian foods and some western foods. Despite this being low season, the hotel was packed with locals and then a bunch of loud boorish backpackers, which killed the nice ambiance. Our bathroom then overflowed with sewage - twice -and we were moved across the road to the much nicer deluxe suite room. That was a much better location, less packed with people looking for the cheaper room rates, and much nicer. You could also get the wifi signal from this side. The room move made a difference to us between recommending the property and not recommending it. Suite rooms have coffee/tea and a small "kitchen" and nice sitting room.
Restaurant Tip:
Sample the local bread at night - listen for the "clown horn" and flag down the guy on the bike with the bushel basket. Four rolls = .25 cents USD! we also liked getting carryout from Treetops in town and then eating it in our room with local chilled samara red wine. also recommend the Mapusa market - on Fridays - nice local market with some tourist goods ---- offer 2/3 less than their starting price and you wind up paying about less then 1/2 their starting rate. We paid $8 roundtrip to Sunil our young driver who was hilarious!
