More then happy with the hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and courteous.
I like the location of the hotel. Its a stones throw from the calm and soothing Candolim beach, yet just a 5 minute drive from Baga and Calangute beach.
The swimming pool should be open round the clock or atleast upto 10pm. but the pool is closed at 6pm. The hotel spa did not have sauna or steam. and the spa masseur was not available 3 out of 5 days.
The hotel is ideal for couples with children or people looking to have a relaxing holiday but still be close to the fun/nightlife of other beaches.

Nice setting, useless staff

rooms are newly and quite nicely renovated, but do not expect to lay comfortably in your bed and watch TV, simply because the TV does not facing the bed. The TV in hung on a wall somewhere in the room and you think to yourself, "what on earth the designer thought when he/she designed this room"...
The setting is nice and the hotel is close to the beach.
The staff however is completely useless !

Our stay in Sonesta Inn
The hotel is three minutes walk from the beach. The room was large.

The hotel makes an impression like it is closed.
Ofcourse it is raining but that does not mean you have to wrap everything in plastic. Also the view from the Ocean Deck, their bar, breakfast area was totaly obstructed by plastic. They should put it down in case of rain and put it up in case of sunshine.
We had two times a powercut and we had to wait for one hour until the watersupply was reorganised. There was a watercut because of restauration. The restauration gives a lot of noise and does not add to the athmosphere.
The small waiter in the breakfast He was very unprofessional.
Dr Blom was not amused.
Travel tip:
Tip: don't go there!

Comfortable stay at Sonesta Inns

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Nice and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle. If you plan for a quite holiday great place to stay.
Only drawback is that it is quite far from the Calangute beach and although you can reach the Candolim beach by walk the approach road is not great.
Also, the food in general needs to be improved although the prices are reasonable.
Restaurant Tip:
Check out Fisherman's Cove quite near the hotel about 10 mins walk towards Candolim

The hotel was decent enough, there was alot building going on while we were there. The swimming pool was really good and it was next to the beach. The restaurant wasnt the best and it was abit overpriced. The hotel wasnt really next to any restaurants and it was a good 20 minutes walk away. Taxi drivers are always waiting outside and can get them for a decent enough price.

Dont go to the hotels

Arrived to find that half the hotel was being demolished (literally). Agoda had not mentioned that. Builders using sledge hammers to knock walls down from about 7am to 10pm..! Hotel were very apologetic, but insisted that it should have been mentioned at booking. In reality, the hotel should have been shut until building works were finished. Still, the staff were great, friendly and helpful. Aside from building works the hotel was actually lovely. I'd recommend it definitely. Lovely pool, rooms a good size, and gardens tended beautifully.

nice hotel the rooms are massive, nice pool, nice gardens. Good quiet location, but there isnt that many shops in walking distance. We rented a bike so it was perfect. breakfast was simple but nice, set on the balcony of the cafe. If it wasnt for the noisy construction this hotel would have been perfect.
Hotel Feature Tip:
make sure you get a room with the balcony facing the pool.

A fantastic stay
Close to the beach, clean pool and rooms were excellent. Very friendly staff who made you feel special and got to know you and your likes. Relaxing atmosphere. could have stayed there for another week.

An excellent place to stay, close to shops and resturant as well as the beach. Clean and beautiful where staff go out of their way to make your stay special. a 3 star price but 5 star service.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Great tours from johns tours to waterfalls + elephant ride as well as one to the spice plantations.
