A large property with simple yet comfortable decor
A comfortable beach resort-don't need to go anywhere else

This is my first time to India and did not know what to expect for a beach so I booked a 5-star hotel just to be safe. I was pleasantly surprised by the vast, beautiful and clean beach outside the hotel. The resort is large, the area between the hotel resort building leading to the beach is a beautiful grass lawn with an elegant pool area and tennis courts at a distance. I liked the fact that the Utorda beach is relatively close to the airport. I didn't have to travel far to be in a pristine beach. I can't compare this hotel with others but the beaches adjacent to ours were equally clean, quiet and beautiful. Perhaps I would've been fine to stay in a 3 or 4 star resort as our family spend most of the time in the beach. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable stay. Service and food was fair also.
Shopping Tip:
Since the price for food and spa are steep, we found it helpful to find small grocery stores outside the hotel property to get some snacks and juices. There's also a Sohum Spa(same spa as the one inside the hotel) across the Orchid hotel right beside Kenilworth.
