Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. Garden Hotel Udaipur Info
This former colonial style residence from the 1920's now welcomes guests to experience the charm of yesteryear. This heritage property sits at the edge of Gulab Bagh, built in the 1850's, the largest garden in Udaipur, which in addition to a rose garden includes a museum, library and zoo. Other must see sites in this former princely city include Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, and the numerous palaces across the city. At this property, guests can enjoy camel safaris, dance performances, puppetry, a vintage car museum and after a long day relaxing Ayurvedic massages. Close to historical sites, Garden Hotel is a fitting choice when in Udaipur.

Right next to the city gardens. Good service. Quiet Area. Very clean.
Not much bang for the buck. HRH hotels seem to all be more expensive than the competition.
About 10 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the old city and the city palace. The main entrance to the City gardens are right across the street and you can walk through them pretty much right to the gates of the city palace, so that is cool. You can escape the usual crush of back packers and street merchants that gather around budget lodging areas. Definitely a more peaceful and mature place than what you will find in the old city.
However rooms are not particularly big or overwhelmingly nice. Not worth the premium.
Restaurant Tip : Ambrai restaurant.

Clean room, complementary pass to City Palace, the main attraction in Udaipur.
A bit far from the Lake. The hotel is old, perhaps it's time for improvement.
The hotel is located some distance away from the Lake Pichola, the main attraction in Udaipur. However, there is plenty of rickshaw around so it wasn’t that inconvenience (10 minutes, around Rs40 from the hotel to the Lake). The hotel gives its guests passes to the City Palace, a complex of palaces turned museum/hotel, the main attraction of the city (both properties are owned by the same group).

Staff are well mannered and helpful and the rooms are spacious and clean
Indian music set up directly outside my room by the hotel is sung consistently between 7 and 10pm. It's cute for the first few times, then it drives you nuts!
Slap bang in the middle of a busy up and coming city, The Garden Hotel is perfect for the adventurous traveller.
It spacious and well designed and has it's own attractions (including a vintage car museum). The staff there are well mannnered and courteous and the General Manager there is considerate and will personally introduce himself to you and try to help you fill your itinerary with interesting things to do in the area.
The City is a bussling minefield of do's and don'ts and he's helpful here.
The hotel is owned and run by HRH hotels, (The King's hotels) and as such you are issued a security pass to access some of the delights that are the kings palaces and other hotels in the area. The rooms are clean and insect-free and overall the hotel has a good feel about it.
Internet access is available as is the bar and outdoor restaurant,
Don't expect too much and you'll come away pleasantly satisfied.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : City Palace, Sunset Point, Lake Palace, Rajputana Resorts, Shiv Nawas - Talk to the Manager!
