Our room overlooked the lake and had big bay windows with a lounge so was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and always available to help. The wifi wasn't working but they let us use the reception computer and the food was also good. Very close to city palace and markets.

-Rajasthali is the best shop to buy from, it is the only govt store, where you wont be cheated.

every room's decoration is very unique and colorful. The food there is very delicious, especially the fish curry and chicken curry. The staff there are very kind and helpful, left us a wonderful memory.

welcoming hotel but noisy staff

very welcoming and friendly, I really fully recommend this hotel with only one problem, that the place is quite small and the staff are quite noisy, especially the restaurant staff, dragging tables around constantly (why not lift them quietly??)and often shouting messages across the place that was a permanent nuisance to me, especially as I felt a bit ill on that day, and needed rest.
Shopping Tip:
best shopping is on south side on long road leading from footbridge, near this hotel, across Lake Pichacola and walk southerly towards the Zoo and railway line direction, and be sure to haggle as prices are all marked up highly, to cheat tourists. Correct price for taxi to airport, from central Udaipur is not more than 400 rupees in a good clean car, Indica or Ambassador ... do not pay more, and pay less if car is old.
