The International Airport is 27 km from the hotel, while the Railway Station is eight km away. The city is known for its lakes, and guests enter the resort via Lake Pichola. Must visit is the City Palace, built in 1567, Jagdish Temple, Monsoon Palace, and the lakes. Guests can a choose to have a picnic lunch on a private gondola, while cruising Lake Pichola. The chefs at The Oberoi Udaivilas have been trained under the few chefs who serve the erstwhile royal families. From the minute you step in, you will be taken aback by the architecture, the service and the views from Oberoi Udaivilas.

We went there with a family of 6, the checkin and checkout was breeze. We celebrated birthday of one of us at the SPA pool continued with dinner. It was awesome experience all together. They treated me like an emperor.

Luxury recent hotel built in 2005, respecting Indian traditional work. View on the City and Lake Palaces is breathtaking. Staff helpful and friendly, 2 heated pools (rather rare across Rajasthan).
Breakfast slightly disappointing, and still very expensive.
