Run down old hotel; nothing works
Staff is very nice and the food at the restaurant is ok. Pool area is superb

Will not stay here again. The hotel is on its way out with no maintenance to speak of. The ac's did not work, the water either did not work or leaked profusely. Changed to 3 different rooms before one was acceptable. All fixtures are very old and not maintained.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to son of Kratkatoa and hike the volcano and then snorkel at the base of the old volcano.

Resort Hotel with a good view

I stayed in this hotel on Jan 24 to 25, 2013 with my husband and 2 daughters. My daughters are very excited because there were several pools in the hotel, as well as beautiful beach.
Hotel breakfast was also good, they provided many variants. But there were only selected good restaurants around this area. Hotel management needs also to maintain and upgrade this hotel facilities and rooms.

In my opinion the hotel needs a big renovation, especially the hotel rooms. They also needs to clear out all the vendors at the beach infront of the hotel, so it can be more private.
At the high season period, the hotel has to be prepared to serve customers more in a better way to prevent a very long queue and angry customer. The breakfast was good and the spa was also good.

Extremely overrated 5-stars hotel
friendly staffs and super close to the beach

I stayed at the Executeve Suite room (room with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms). The location is the best one compare to surrounding hotels. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the electronic key card was malfunctioning and I had to wait nearly 20 minutes just to get the replacement key. The room was big and had a lovely view to the pool and beach, however it was dusty, the sofa was broken as well as the water boiler and the shower (in both bathrooms), the bathrooms was horrably dirty and mossy, the towel and floor mat was not provided (we had to call the room service just to get a towel!!), the pillow was smelly. My disappointment continued when we had breakfast as they didn't quickly refill any running out food, although the food was tasty.
I would not complain if this is a 2-stars hotel, but for a 5-stars hotel, it's overly overrated.

The room looks old and slightly unmaintained, especially the bathroom. There's a sofa bed provided in the living room, but it's a bit smelly and noisy. Fortunately, the bed mattres and pillows in main bed room was pretty comfy and clean. My children were happy with the kids pool, but the adult's pool is very dirty. Even the color of the water is green? Breakfast offers good variety with standard taste. Location is good, the beach is on hotel's backyard, and a lot of place to eat around.

bad service when we check in.. we check in on 3pm.. cause they tell us that the room not ready... over all we had a great room.. and we think the hotel's best location and good facilities..

saya menginap di hotel ini bersama keluarga pada saat liburan panjang. sejak awal pelayanan hotel sangat buruk. proses check-in dilakukan secara bertele-tele dan petugas hotel tidak bisa memberikan kepastian kapan kamar available sampai dengan 15.00 wib.
fasilitas kamar hotel sangat kuno dan jelek. karpet dekil, sofa jebol, wastafel jorok dan tv harus digebrak dulu baru keluar warnanya. kamar mandi juga jorok dan fasilitasnya sangat terbatas.
pilihan makanan sangat terbatas dan rasa makanan sangat memprihatinkan. chef untuk egg station bahkan kurang terampil membuat omelete sehingga berantakan.
kesimpulannya sangat tidak direkomendasikan dan mengecewakan
