This is Bali, so nothing is as it is, it's always a bit different.
"Our driver will pick you at Denpasar Airport up on arrival bay taking a sign of Alam Puri Art Museum & Resort and your Name" it said in the e-mail from the resort. Even the date and time were right. But though we saw many drivers upon our arrival at Ngurah Rai airport, not a single one carried the promised sign with our name. So we called the hotel, to find out it was "no problem". Not to them that is. We were advised to "just take taxi".
So we arrived at the hotel only to find out not too many people take the risk of booking this place. The rest of the week went much the same as our arrival: you never know what to expect. Sometimes there were towels by the pool, sometimes there weren't. The promised internet connection was "in the office", not in the room (as promised on the website) and not even in the restaurant.
One day men were working on the lights of our private plunge pool. They happily nodded "yes" when I asked them if they were fixing the lights, but later I found out that the lights that had been working the previous night, were now not working anymore.
Yet the resort is beautiful and if you have no problem with many "no problems", you may have a pleasant stay here. Just don't expect excellence. Do yourself a favour and don't eat in the restaurant that is way too expensive as are, it has to be said, the rooms. Not because it isn't beautiful here, but the resort lacks adequate services.

Courteous and helpful staff, nice plunge pool, nice room setting
distance, no nearby amenities, bathroom was old, limited breakfast variety
the hotel is very far from the main tourist areas, it is right smacked between Kuta, and Ubud areas. to go to those areas, it takes at least $120,000 rupiah per trip. there were no nearby amenities like a convenience store. perhaps the hotel should arrange for more shuttle services to more areas, instead of just to Ubud. or maybe provide affordable shuttle services to their customers.
I stayed at the Wirdana villa. the villa has a rustic feel, with plunge pool at the door step. the villa has 2 stories, the 1st story was hardly used as it was just a family room setting, with sofa but no TV.
The room had a nice setting, the balcony was hardly used. the TV had limited channels. the only global channels were BBC, Australian network and MTV. the rest were local channels.
the bathroom was rather old, the tub had stains and the toilet flush was faulty on the 3rd day, but was repaired when we called for room service.
overall, it is a nice hotel if you do not plan to leave the hotel much. but there is limited food variety at the restaurant so that may pose a problem.
