Tranquil setting. Simple and stylish furnishings. All rooms face the pool and ocean.
Well maintained. Range of wines terrible and prices prohibitive. What we did have was not drinkable. We enjoyed all aspects of the hotel - friendly and efficient staff all willing to help. Service at the restaurant first class. If you want peace and relaxation this is the place for you. However the hotel does have a long list of optional daily activities (some free) from which you can choose. You can do as much or as little as you wish.
Restaurant Tip : Candidasa has quite a few restaurants, none very inspiring bar one or two. If you don't mind paying hotel is the best option for eating.

Great design.. nice lobby with beautiful plants, ponds.. i loved it..
Also rooms have nice design.. sober , earthcolors.. nice gardens Food good , fresh but overprized..
Seafood bbq was not according price...
Large cargoships take away seaview.. a pitty Nice hotel, nice and helpfull staff

Best hotel ever been, nice, cosy, beautiful, good food, perfect staff... can't imagine any - oh yes, no toilet-brush... The most glorious hotel we have ever been with very cosy, roomy, well equiped, comfortable rooms, close to pool, ocean, perfect breakfast and an incredible afternoon-tea with home made herbal tea and cakes, we would go back any time and enjoy as much days/weeks as possible. Thank you Alila for a perfect start of our honeymoon!!!!
Hotel Feature Tip : it's difficult to leave the hotel because it's really gorgious to stay there and spend your whole time in the beautiful ambience

There are a number of local places to visit if one wants to leave the pool. Daily activities are also provided to enrich one's experience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Tengannan is a must visit village.

Probably one of the nicest still affordable place as a starting point to explore East Bali by car for a few days. Too lonely for a longer stay unless two weeks reading besides the pool is your aim.
