great staff lovely rooms, bad management and upkee
4.7
The hotel is in a great area just off the main road but still quiet. The staff were friendly aNd the breakfast good.
I wouldn't stay here again though! When I book a hotel I look for 2 specific things 1 been a bathtub (we only have cold shower where we live in East Bali so I like the bit of 'luxury') the other is a baby cot. After booking I sent email to hotel to make sure I had reserved a cot they said no worries can organise on arrival subject to avaliabilty on arrival to the hotel we were told they don't have cots at anytime and it wasn't just that one wasn't availaBle! Also the plug in the bath didn't work in either of the rooms we had booked.

enjoyable say
location, big comfortable room, nice modern surroundings
7.7
Much better than last time, quick check in, room near internet, large room, you need to direct the staff if you are fussy about your breakfast, but they were willing to be of assistance. Anyway I would recommend this hotel to a friend as it good value for money

Close to beach, good size room
I was surprised to see the villa is actuall better than what seen on the picture. Only 6 rooms with small but nice pool just at the front of your door step. Very large room with good sized beds.

We solely enjoyed stay at Amansari Villa.Friendly staff. Room gets cleaned every day. drinking water tower is a bonus. Fast WiFi. Enjoyed sitting around the pool having breakfast.200m to the beach from shared private access path. breakfast needs to improve.

Well priced villa in great location
6.7
This is a small complex with just 6 villas, all overlooking a lovely, albeit small pool. The villa is set back from the mainroad, so very quiet, although the driveway to the complex is well lit, with security guards at the gate - I always felt extremely safe getting to and from the villa.
The rooms themselves are very large, but with basic inclusions. A small kitchen with the bare essentials, but having a decent size fridge to keep some drinks on hand is a big plus. WiFi in the room works reasonably well. Main downside of the room is the sliding doors not sealing properly, meaning a regular influx of mosquitos in the room. This can be somewhat alleviated by mosquito coils or the plug-in deterrents. Room servicing can be a little random and unfortunately the staff, while very friendly, have limited English skills, so I never got to the bottom of this. Be aware that there is no reception or office as such at the villa - I arrived to check in late at night and after several attempts at calling the villa with broken conversations, I located the 'office' (a small room with a cot in it), which is along a gravel path, hidden behind the staircase that goes to the upstairs rooms. Anyway not a major issue, but could be signed a little better.
The major positive for this villa is it's location. Slightly set back from the main road, it is extremely close to a number of wonderful restaurants in Sanur and also walking distance to the likes of Hardy's - the local supermarket. Going the other direction out of the villa, you are a mere 100mtr from the beach, which has a nice boardwalk to either run along (stretches around 5km along the beach) or to sit down at one of the many bars/restaurants for a Bintang and bite to eat with your feet in the sand.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a well priced villa, with its location making it great value for money.

Revisited Amansari
Location, relativly close to airport, pool
6.3
Stayed at Amansari 1 year ago, liked to location an the room, so why try someting else. Had to transfere to an other hotel the last night because some plumping problem, the transfere was to Kuta, not ideal, but since I l was leaving Bali the next day it was ok since it is close to the airport. Still, I think I would go back to Amansari if I go back to Sansur.

I have mixed feelings
Location, location, location. And this hotel could be great
6.3
Well, we arrived late in the rain, to find a confused and unprepared group of two men. After a lot of confusion we were scurried off to a room in villa. Sharing with some japanese. It was a three roomed villa area, with small pool. Services were basic, no phone to reception, although some distance away. The guys proceeded to lock us into the villa for the night, but we needed dinner. We then had to climb over the villa walls to get out. They were reluctant to give us a key for the villa gate as they said they only had two keys and the japanese already had one?! Dave demanded the key. All went well the next day, although after a massive storm the villa was a mess as it sat right under a beautiful tree that kept breaking off into the compound. The next afternoon we had no power, and we had to let them know so they could recharge the power card?!. Then there was an extended local power cut, but the hotel did not supply candles, in fact the reception was completely abandoned during the power outage.
Generally after all this, I would say that although the hotel and its buildings are great, there needs to be more management and supervision of the employees. Each morning there was brown bread on the menu, but no brown bread, ?! the shop is just up the road, 2 minutes away.
The pool was over done with chlorine and they left the pool hose and equipment laying around.
Really sad for what could be a great place with better management and forgive me for saying this, but a Balinese woman's touch.

"Large room but smell mold"
Good location, close to the beach.

It has a loft with extra bed, that was a bonus. Very large room with a kitchen, but the room needs little maintenance. There was a water leak from the kitchen ceiling and smell of mold. Nice staff, the service was good.

Disappointing
location, beautiful pool, kitchen facilities - if that's what you're looking for
3.3
This one didn't work out for us. It wasn't clean, had a funny smell - probably mildew. More than the average number of cockroaches in the bathroom. The door wasn't very secure. There was a really half hearted attitude from staff.
