Lovely clean comfortable hotel close to beach

When we arrived we were greeted by the most lovely hotel staff ever. I think in Bali you will almost always experience great hospitality, but Ananta staff will bend over backwards just to accommodate you and make your stay pleasant. The architecture of the foyer and design of the hotel grounds is beautiful, and has a rather peaceful and relaxing ambience. We stayed for 4 nights in the pool access room. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed. The king size bed was very comfortable. The pool looked very beautiful with a swim up bar, however we didn't get the chance to have a swim as we were busy out and about everyday. The buffet breakfast was good, with a chef to cook your eggs fresh upon request, an assortment of bread/toast/pastries, American breakfast, cereals, traditional indo breakfast choices, fresh fruit and juices and more. The hotel is located 5 minutes by foot from the beach with endless choices of restaurants nearby to suit all diets. There are lots of little shop vendors close by, with laundry service opposite the hotel and lots of cheap spa/massage places nearby. The hotel would be ideal for those coming to bali for a surfing experience as all the surf schools are located at this beach. The concierge staff were the most helpful, they helped us book all our tours, without being pushy to try and sell you other packages. They gave us lots of advice on where to go and gave us honest info about what to expect from taxi fares. The only negative is that the free wifi was slow and temperamental and walls are quite thin so you can hear movements upstairs and next door. Luckily enough I always wear earplugs to sleep so the noise didn't affect me but I can see how this could be an issue for light sleepers. Apart from that I can not fault this hotel in any other way and would happily stay here again and recommend fellow travellers.

My first visit to Bali and to the Ananta Legian for that matter has been a big hit. I will most certainly go back later this year. I was particularly surprised by the staff and the friendliness of the local people. One piece of advice hozever to the Balinese people : stop building all these new constructions, becauae it will destroy the charm of the island before you know it. I hzav seen it happen before in other parts of the world.

As mentioned , we really enjoyed the friendly staff good breakfast . Also very clean and modern/ average size rooms but ok/close location to beach/ only small change could be done a bar sitting area in pool area. Overall very good value for money.

Not a bad stay for the price. Staff very welcoming and do anything for u. breakfast included in price. good selection buffet,eggs cooked anyway u like. Rooms very small with no balcony but if yr out all day then perfect. Rooms not soundproof which was a shame. Would recommend to non smokers that don't spend time at hotel. Because location is great. Close to beach great restaurants and shopping
