Budget hotel
Wifi, quiet surrounding, warm water
Because the day time I was not staying in the hotel. I only stayed from 9pm to 9am. I had a good sleep. It's value option to choose Aqua Villa as you will not expect many things with the price.

Good price, but you get what you pay for
Firendly staff, quiet location, price
Thought I was getting a great bargain, based upon Agoda photos. However, upon arrival, I found that my room was in the old section, which was built cheaply in the beginning and isn't getting better. Room was always swept and made up nicely, but the bathroom is not properly cleaned. Breakfast is a bit limited, and you have to ask for real coffee, or take Nescafe. Too far to walk for almost anything, so be patient for a taxi to go out to eat, or anything else on your agenda.

A pleasant stay in a quiet environment
The pool, the quiet neighborhood, the privacy of the room.
Aqua Villa Umalas is a very nice place. Even though they are building a major addition at the front of the property, my room was still peaceful. The air conditioner worked well. The room was near immaculate, the bedding was soft, and the bed comfortable. The shower is new. Although, the plumbing is set up a bit oddly so there are sometimes unpleasant smells that emanate from the shower drain. I will note that this happens in a lot in Asia/SE Asia. (It even happened in my rather nice and expensive apartment in Seoul when I lived there for a year.) Easy solution is to just keep the bathroom door closed. Each room is a free-standing building, which means you aren't sharing a wall with potentially noisy people. Love that aspect. They offer full room service too. It's good to note that the staff (all very friendly) during the day speaks very good English, but at night, my experience was that they barely spoke any. (However, I only stayed one night.) This is a great place to stay if you want to be AWAY from the crowd and the noise of Seminyak and Kuta. The good news is that it's only a 5-minute moped drive from the center of Seminyak if you need to shop or dine out. If you're not a moped-driver, the hotel staff will arrange a taxi for you. They usually offer a free shuttle in the daytime to take you to Seminyak (you just have to flag your own taxi back -- shouldn't cost more than 40,000 IDR). Nice place overall and can't wait to see the new addition!

Great stay - a good choice
Quiet, friendly & pleasant surroundings
Stayed 7or 8 nights and would do it again? Quiet position only minutes from the 'hustle bustle' of Seminyak - nice retreat. Very nice rooms, attentive staff - well priced.

wonderful, relaxing, clean, affordable price
friendly and helpful staffs. Clean room and bathroom. wonderful environment and lovely garden. Very quiet and relaxing.
I stayed in Aqua Villa Umalas for 6 nights on December 2012. The hotel was very wonderful. It has a very helpful and friendly staff. The patiently give us the direction how to get to Ubud, they even drew the route for us. Very easy to rent a motorbike, many laundry services around the hotel. I love this hotel with its relaxing and quiet environment. The have beautiful hanging white flowers in the terrace and along the path to the rooms. The rooms are not many so it's so peaceful. The swimming pool is quiet big. The access to Seminyak area is so easy, approx. 10-15 minutes by motorbike. The only thing that need to be improved is the breakfast menu. For a long-stay guests it's kinda boring. We stopped having breakfast there in the 4th day and start to look outside. The access to the hotel is quite difficult. For those who doesn't familiar with the area is kinda hard to find. Lucky us, the taxi driver from the airport had already been there before. In the night, the road near hotel is very dark, maybe because the construction of a new building is not finished yet. Above all, I will most definitely go back to this hotel and recommend this hotel to my friends.

A lovely small Hotel.
Lovely garden and water pond setting. Small and friendly. Quiet, away from busy streets.
A very enjoyable stay. Difficult to find behind new building construction. Hope additional rooms will not spoil the quiet, relaxing, small hotel.

great value, location, and beautiful grounds
pool, location, price
This a great hotel! Such a good value for the Seminyak area. It's only a 3-4 minute taxi ride to any bar restaurant or each area you want to go in Seminyak but quite since it's off the main drag. They have a beautiful pool, lounge area, garden grounds, and great massages. They are also in the process of building newer rooms as well. Staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. This is a great affordable place for a romantic getaway or just a relaxing stay.

Modern design, clean and friendly
Free use of dvd's and player, good beds, nice staff
We had a motorbike so the location was ok for us but without your own transport the location is a bit off the beaten path. They do provide a shuttle at 10am to the shopping area. There is construction ongoing next door, not to bad but it is a little noisy by the pool.
