Fantastic!
Great location and facility
8.7
Definitely one good place, which also allows you to observe the actual work place. This is the must place to look if you are interested in art. This place is also nice to be in great nature, and you will have lots of opportunity for doing Yoga to realize yourself. You might want to take a walk in the Monkey Forest where you can actually face on real monkeys with no fences. Hope you will have joyful time in Ubud, Bali!

A true taste of Bali
Beautiful architecture, fantastic gardens
8.3
This is a beautiful resort with very serene and tranquil atmosphere,a hideout from the hustle and bustle of crowded Ubud. The villa I stayed is surrounded by lush tropical gardens with abundance of greenery, and is just next to the ARMA Museum which has a good collection of modern,as well as traditional Balinese paintings. The only regret is that due to the short stay, my family and I did not have the time to joint some of the interesting activities organised by the resort.

Hotel in beautiful lush surroundings
Friendly helpful staff, surroundings of the resort
8.7
We stayed 3 nights in Jan 2012 and loved it, we would definitely come back should we return to Ubud one day.
Spacious room (even with baby cot) and bathroom, not completely new anymore but still acceptable.
In the bathroom there was only a bathtub and no possibility to take a shower. Needed to hold the shower head with one head all the time while seated in bathtub if we wanted to take a shower, a little annoying. Very good breakfast.
Since we were there during the wet season, the hotel was half empty and we had the pool to ourselves every time we used it, felt very VIP. The pool was nice and big enough to swim a few laps.
The hotel is located south of the town centre, 5 mins drive. We were away from the noise / traffic of the center while still being not too far. The hotel provides free shuttle to and from the town center at fixed schedule.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
The Arma Resort's gardens are connected with the ones of the Museum (just next door), we loved the green surroundings and spent an hour wandering through them. There were some nice spots for pictures.
Restaurant Tip:
We went to Ibu Rai for dinner, location was suggested to us by the hotel driver. We had some nice food, looked like balinese food with a modern twist.

Living in the heart of Art Ubud
Beautiful setting, art courses, museum, good restaurant
9.3
i learned about the arma resort by visiting the museum and stumbling across the hotel. the setting of arma is beautiful and staying in the villa, one feels that one is staying in the middle of nature. i loved watching dance performances at night as well as watching the children learning traditional dance in the afternoons. in my opinion, cafe arma is one of the best restaurants in ubud.
the down sides are that the breakfast buffet is slightly limited and the spa is overpriced.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The owner or ARMA, Mr Agung Rai, takes small group tours into the 'real' Ubud. There is a magic hour tour in the mornings and a mystic hour tour in the evening. These tours are exceptional and unique.

Great hotel in a quiet, calm location
Spacies, beautifull, quiet location
8.3
Arma is a museum and resort. Its a nice different hotel with rooms that make you feel you are really in Asia. There are palmtrees everywhere.
The service was extremely good. There is a frequent free shuttle service to and from Ubud. Hotel staff made us feel more then welcome.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the shuttle to Ubud castle, walk down the road then take a right to walk in the paddyfields. An experience you'll never forget.

Lovely hotel, location and service
9
We stayed 2 nights at Arme Museum and Resort. We had a lovely stay. The hotel is located 5-10 min. drive outside Ubud town, but the hotel provides a shuttle to bring you and pick you up again. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. We will come back!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We had one full day in Ubud looking at art and one full day cycling. Don't miss the cycling part out.

The grounds are beautiful and the staff are lovely.

We were here for two nights and were lucky enough to get upgraded to a villa. It has beautiful grounds and free afternoon tea and coffee. The hotel is a bit to far from town to walk but the do a good shuttle service.

An oasis of tranquility and culture
Takes you into the heart of Bali, rich cultural experience, delicious food, warm and caring staff, stunning villa and a feast of art.
9.3
I wish we could have stayed longer and will certainly return. The Arma also run a series of cultural and art workshops that sounded really interesting. I would recommend Arma for the traveler who wants a real Balinese cultural experience. The only downside for me was no internet access in the room, you had to go out to the pool or the restaurants.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Next door to Arma is a Bike Tour company - go on their one day excursion where you can ride through the villages and paddy fields of Bali and have a fabulous cultural experience.

Beautiful, lush and friendly atmosphere
huge rooms, huge grotto style bathrooms, beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, peaceful, short distance to main street in Ubud.
8.3
The resort was amazing and such good value. The lush green surroundings with little river running through the compund was beautiful. The room was huge as was the bathroom. The bathroom was amazing grotto style bathroom with exposed stone work and Balinese features. The location was perfect, it was a little bit away from the main centre of Ubud but could still be got to by either free shuttle bus or a healthy walk. Peaceful and relaxing location. I loved this place and would totally recommend it to anyone.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Book a cycling tour from Mt Batur to Ubud, all down hill and very easy and a great way to learn, see and experience Bali.
