Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Tranquil retreat in ubud
Wonderful gardens, lovely large pool, very clean, excellent staff
8.7
Second stay at artini 2 and just as wonderful. The location is excellent, being 10 min walk to monkey forest and 10min walk to market. Every time you arrive there the tranquility of the gardens can be felt. The breaky is basic but nice and there are no refrigerators or safes in rooms. Lock boxes are available at reception at no charge. Must eat at Kafe across the road, great selection of foods and drinks.

Beautiful grounds, great location

the grounds are beautifully maintained and we loved the balinese statues and craftsmanship throughout. each room has a unique, wood carved door and the exterior of the villas is well maintained. our room was spacious and the bed was comfy, however the bathroom was a little disappointing as the water pressure was barely existent at times and took quite a while to get warm. we had a unit with an air conditioner, but we found the room doesn't really cool off that well with the numerous gaps to outside. the location was good with close proximity to restaurants and shopping. the kecak fire dance was an interesting balinese experience that takes place at the temple across the street.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Monkey Forest is a MUST! Such a fun experience!

An oasis in the middle of chaos
Location, tranquility, staff
9.7
this is a beautiful hotel, hidden away from the chaos of the streets of ubud. steps down into an oasis of calm and friendliness, with traditional balinese architecture and decor, lovely tropical gardens, relaxed atmosphere, all combining to give a really special feeling.
the staff all know your name, what room you're in, look out for you, and generally make you feel at home.
the one extra that would make this hotel perfect would be a massage and spa place. but there's plenty around and close by so doesn't really matter.
this is my 2nd stay at artini 2 and i'll be back.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The rooms in the middle of the complex are best. The ones at the back, while larger and with air conditioning and with beautiful views, have a few mosquitoes and sand flies. Can't be helped really.

Beautiful, restful, and calm in the heart of Ubud.
Beautiful location, lovely rooms, excellent pool

i have just come from spending 4 days at this establishment, and i am afraid that i will have to give it mixed reviews. on the positive side, it is a beautiful jewel tucked away down a tiny entrance from the street, that gives it peace and quiet in the heart of ubud. the rooms are sensational and well worth the very reasonable price. i was staying in a superdeluxe room, but it had great conveniences - bath, aircon, fridge and tv, but the views were worth all of that, and the fact that you are not overlooked by any of your neighbours. it truly is a beautiful, restful place to stay. the other thing that i really appreciated was the pool - truly the cleanest pool i have ever been in (and i have been in a few!) and with a beautiful fountain/waterfall backdrop. it is quite lush and tropical, and makes you feel like you have arrived in your own little xanadu.
now to the not so good....
although the staff were friendly, they were not overly helpful, making me carry my own case to the entrance in the rain (about 25 steps and 150 m), and asking me three times if i had paid my bill. most disappointing of all, though, was the food. although the dining facilities are nice - open room to the pool, and breakfast was included, it was not a really substantial offering, being a set menu with only tea or coffee to drink. food on a basic level. dinner, however, was dismal. my boyfiend and i arrived for dinner to be told that they did not have any rice (that took half the menu away). settling on a seafood dish each, my prawn curry came with what looked like a large portion of prawns, until you removed the heads and skeletons, to find i had 4 prawns on my plate. that, and it came with chips!
that aside - there are more than enough places to choose to eat outside the cottages - it was a very comfortable stay and has first class ambience.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Eat elsewhere!

Truly Balinese style with smile but a bit run down
Perfect environment and good location. Busy outside quiet inside.
7.3
The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel location and environment is perfect. However, there are many things are not in order e.g. Safe box was not working, kettle for boiling water is not provided, the is old and too soft, swimming pool tiles are peeling off, no TV, bad sound proof. Anyway, It's still really a value for money stay in this hotel due to its good price, good location and good atmosphere of the hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
Must try the BBQ spare rib in Naughty Nuri Restaurant which is walking distance from this hotel.
