Comfortable and relaxing without the frills.
It was very relaxed, close to the beach and close to town, Balangan beach is stunning!

We really enjoyed our time at Balangan Bungalow. It was very affordable and the staff were friendly although not all fluent in English. You had to have a motorbike to get around but the staff will organize one at your request and its very affordable. Its close to both the beach and town which is great for relaxing as well as eating out. There is no much of a food option provided and the internet was not great, but we were there to relax anyway.

The room was clean and the bed was big. However, there was a "cicak"/"tokek", a very small lizard that made sound.
The hotel is located in a very quite neighborhood in Jimbaran but it is very far from Downtown or the main district.
The breakfast was good.

The room first looked nice when we walked in, but turned out there were tons of ants everywhere, the cleaning was very bad and the bathroom was discusting with lots of hair in the shower, not just from the previous guest, but from a lomg time before. We booked for two nights but ended up staying only for one. The price was higher than the bungalows at the beach, so not really even value for the money. Overall, just a disappointing place.

Clean hotel but bad attitude and location

Well, this is a clean and new hotel.. But the boss has a bad attitude to customer, which just friendly to western people. We rent a motorcycle from the hotel, but it out of petrol for just five minute, we call back to hotel ask for help but the boss not come out to give us a hand . we need to walk by ourself find petrol. When we want to make complaints, the boss say this is our fault for not checking petrol by ourself. But the boss also no check everything when rent motor to us. So we had treat badly by this hotel. By the way, the hotel location not good, u need to ride motor for fifteen minute to town find restaurant . even it near balangan beach, but dont have any special view. This location surround by trees only. I will not recommend for people to have a shortstay choose here, it just waste u time.

Very friendly hotel staff, though their english was limited. Nice breakfast (pay extra, though not expensive)

Spacious rooms, though there were many insects coming in under te door, trough the open bathroom and from the roof. Airport pick-up didn't work out. There is a beach in 20 min walking distance, but not much else near the hotel. For out stay of two nights it was all right, for longer stays I would only recommend this hotel if you habe your own transportation (car/motorbike)

One of our best accomodation so far in bali!! Really nice people,the bungalows are clean and the staff soooooo helpful!of course the choices on the menu are small but there are many places around (in town)or near the beach where you can eat!!if you want to!

now i won't say there aren't problems with this establishment, but they are open to suggestions. we stayed there for 11 nights and over the course of that time, the wi-fi was out, they had a technician come in and fix it, there wasn't enough seating for breakfast, they extended the patio area. they were quick to call for transport down to the beach and they usually arrived within 30 minutes. it says on agoda "complimentary bottled water" when it wasn't provided i asked and it was given. when there wasn't a glass in the bathroom all i had to do was ask. make sure you bring all your toiletries with you as almost nothing is provided.
Shopping Tip:
There is a great little shop 2 minutes up the road with many of the things you may have left at home, which most hotels provide. Also the Magnum ice-creams are delicious!

Potential to be good, but not there yet!

I believe that the hotel has only been open about 6 months, and I was under the impression that they are very much learning as they go. The staff were friendly, but inexperienced, the location is about a 20 minute walk to the beach which based on the description is a lot further than I understood it would be, which is fine, but for the price I think they could easily offer a free hourly shuttle service or similar. The 'restaurant' is very limited, being no more than a basic cafe. Breakfast is included, but very limited and I took exception when the staff tried to charge me for a small orange juice which is standard everywhere I stayed in Bali. There is wifi, but it is either extremely slow, or did not work, so should not be relied upon. The accommodation is good, particularly the comfortable beds, but I did not feel I was getting value for money. The potential is there, but it is the small things, and service in particular, that make an enjoyable stay, and they are not quite there yet unfortunately.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Having your own personal transport is recommended, which would make the location a lot less of an issue.

These nice bungalows are unfortunately far from the beach (15 minutes walk or 5 minutes motorbike) and there is nothing around - no shops, no restaurant, nothing!
