Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Our starting point when we go to bali
Really cheap. Quite comfortable fior the price. Small hotel, great pool, great breakfast, friendly staff
7.3
always stay here when arriving in bali, and usually we stay here when leaving also, its so cheap we book an extra night when we fly out late so we don’t have to checkout early with a late flight. Staff are super friendly and its amazing value for what you get when booking through agoda. Pool is great, location is great altho a little walk to main part of seminyak, again one cant expect a great location for such a low rate. Breakfast is pretyt good altho nothing amazing
Nightlife Tip:
gado gado is a great restaurant at the end of the road before you turn off to BAV, also across the road on the top floor of the anatara resort is a great rooftop bar, usually noone here but AMAZING views of the beach, 6 stories up, A great little café in seminyak is Zucchini, awesome salads and coffee!

Bali Agung
Nice beds n nice balinese chalet looking rooms.
6.3
The bed is the most superb thing about the place, the balinese exterior lost its appeal later when we checked in n found out that there is no in room safe, no complimentary drinking waters, the door does not work properly .... but generally, the atmosphere at hotel is just so resort feel, nice pool, within walking distance to beach, everyone is so laid back. The employee's English is not great but I survived with my fair bahasa indonesia .... they might need to improve on that but they are very accomodative n friendly.
Breakfast is just so so, nothing to shout about.
The complimentary shuttle bus into town is a good arrangement, benefited from it.
The tour desk at hotel is not great, kinda felt they milked on you much if you do not negotiate n be smart about it.
Travel tip:
The hotel is at Seminyak area and u all should just go to Ku De Ta, nice restaurant with good food. The pizza is superb, do remember to call up for reservation to avoid dissapointment.

If you don't mind old, run-down room
Fairy near the beach.
Many cable channels.

Frankly, I wouldn't stay here again. The room I had, 101, was old and run-down. It felt utterly depressing. Didn't want to stay in the room any longer than I had too, especially the bathroom. Perhaps rooms in other building of the resort will be better.
The day before checking out and on the morning of check out, reception kept asking us what time we are checking out.
Reception desk has a sign that says check-out time is 12noon. By 11.15am, we got at least 3 calls from what I guess is the reception trying 'remind' you to check out. I say guessing because the phone in the room doesn't work. It only rings and its dead the moment you pick it up.
The hotel seems more concern about REMINDING YOU TO CHECK OUT than providing you with a good stay.

What are you waiting for!

After reading some of the previous reviews, I was a little sceptical at first. But after seeing the place, receiving a better then average service from the staff (whom i might add were more then friendly and helpful - so I don't know what the other reviewers were on about) I really liked this place. The breakfast was fantastic - buffet, eggs cooked for you when you want, etc... should I say more. The pool great, the rooms, pretty damn good considering the places I have stayed (which have been many since travelling for the last 6 months). For the price, this place is a must to stay at.
Oh, and if you are after a quiet place to stay, this is the place as it is far enough away from the THUMP THUMP THUMP of the bar/clubs that you don't hear a thing but not too far away if you want that sort of thing.
Nightlife Tip:
Heaps of bars and clubs of Legian just up the road so no need to feel like you are too secluded.

Nice hotel, but a bit out of the way
Attractive traditional Balinese style garden setting. Rooms very comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay here though I would'nt have wanted to pay much more than we did. It is a bit of a trek to the beach and restaurants, though you can rent a motorbike on the main road which costs about $4 US a day, and makes getting around much easier and more fun.
Shopping Tip:
If you enjoy wine you are best to buy from the supermarket on the main road leading down to the beach where a good local red, for example is Indico, around $9-$10 US a bottle. (Look in the fridges, yes, even for red wine!) A good sparkling wine is Tanjung, around US $19.

Villa Style on Budget
The whole hotel as a village and you live in a villa room - with wooden door and bar-lock (love the traditional lock). Clean with decently friendly staff.
7.3
Good hotel on a budget.
Food:
Not the best breakfast (similar to Dyana Pura nearby; can't compare to Sofitel - but it's 5 times the price).
Room:
It has better rooms than Dhyana Pura. Villa style and clean.
They got me a doctor when I was sick and accommodated me to special food requests. Accomodating staffs.
Due to location, price and 3-stars level, mostly older guests, but very nice people.

good experience
good location - just in the middle of everything in Semyniak; good service, good value for money, nice environment, good quality accommodation, with all the required facilities. Breakfast, even though not a lot of choice, there was a different dish every day, which was appreciated.
8.3
it is an excellent place for value for money. i have looked around a lot at other hotels in the area, and i dare say you cannot find the same quality for the same price. the others are either more expensive for the same, or much worse than Agung for the same money. i would definitely go back to this hotel, and i would recommend it to friends for my first choice, for anyone that does not expect super luxury.

A very nice place in Bali, friendly and good food
At a good location close to the beach and away from the hussle and bussle of the street. Well worth the 2 minute walk down the lane. 5 minutes walk to the most beutifull beach on gods earth.
I would stay again if business permits me.
9.3
From the moment I arived, I felt a passona of genuin welcome, The staff are conversant in several languages and go the 'extra yard' to assist me with anything and everything...... now try that in Australia. My room was made up perfectly everyday and on one occasion (the first day)I left IDR 10,000,000 ($1,000 USD) on the bed by mistake, when I returned the bed was made and the money all there in the middle of the bed. This was proof to me of the hotels integrity..... I then placed all my valuables in the hotel safe deposit box. The quietness and beutifull architecture of the hotel took me back 20 years to what Bali was once all about.
The food is of a high quality, I felt cheeky having free breakfasts each morning as the hotel was so well priced, breakfast was the icing on the cake for me. I spent my afternoons in the pool and because the hotel has a great pool bar I could not resist swimming over for a refreshing drink or two. The hotel can arrange transport and help with your daily program for what ever you want to do. I was even more pleasantly supprised when it came time to check out and I got my bill for what I had charged up to my room ..... it was half of what I expected to pay. If you are looking for a well placed hotel at about one third the price you would pay at next door (Breezes) and none of the screeming and shouting of un supervised kids and drunken boofheads, then I reccomend you consider this. one.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Avoid the Breezes hotel next door, the bar staff steel from you.... don't give correct change 'mainly the big fellow'
