Central,

Rooms very small, tiny bathroom (one at a time only!) Not enough pool loungers Lots of mozzies

Thank goodness we were only on a 1 night stopover. After traveling from early morning we arrived mid afternoon to find there was no water, so no shower etc.etc.!! (it did eventually come on after a few hours) Rooms a bit noisy, furniture getting moved around constantly overhead. On the whole, reasonably priced and centrally located if your going to be out all day.

Hotel Feature Tip : If you want a lounger by the pool, make sure you get up at 5.30am to put a sarong or book on it otherwise you haven't a chance of one for the rest of the day so it's down to the beach!!

The location was great, right near Waterbom Park, Discovery Shopping Centre and Kuta beach. The hotel's prices were reasonable and accommodation reasonable value for money. Staff very good. Buffet breakfast quite good.

Bali Rani is due for an update of its rooms, the TV's are old and barely functioned. We were in a family room which is a great size, however the other rooms were very small. Pool very cold.

Overall a reasonable hotel for a 3 star, but there maybe better hotels around for similar price. The hotel rooms do not suit more than 2 people, unless you book a family suite which can accommodate up to 5 people. Next time I would pay a bit extra and go 4 star.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : When going to Benoa for watersports, do not go snorkelling! Sea too choppy most days, and equipment is very poor - book snorkelling with a reputable company, not from the shacks on the beach.

The only good feature of this hotel are a nice pool and close proximity to the centro shopping mall.

The hotel is run down and dilapidated. On the surface it seems nice and clean but in fact it is starting to fall apart. The rooms are suffering severe damp. In need of repairs and modernising.

When I first arrived at this hotel I thought this is great. A good location, near to shops and restaurants. I walked through the nice lobby and gardens and attractive good sized pool. When I got to the room I was shocked. It smelled of a severe damp problem, paint was peeling off the walls and the hole place looked as if it was in a desperate need of repairs. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone especially if they have health problems.

Shopping Tip : Opposite Centro shopping mall.

generous size room and huge bed, keeping up the traditional character, good tv programs cover several languages.

internet connection unreliable from bedroom, expensive when using the hotel's service-they charge you by the minute! The room smell a bit mouldy (from the aircon).

Centrally located, next to the main shopping area, western restaurants and cafes, night market and water bomb place. Excellent service with very friendly faces. Very safe and suitable for all ages and families. Internet connection could be better and charges could be reduced. Walk in price is much higher than booking through the internet. Room well kept clean and towels changed all time. The mouldy smell of the room I got used to after the secand day.Overall an enjoyable stay in Bali.

Hotel Feature Tip : Electric power point/socket may not be the same as in your own country. Here it uses two round pin plug..you can buy it from a shop next door to the hotel but at 3 times the price you pay at home..you may try the front counter if they have any to lend..

the room is clean and comfortable and the staffs are nice and helpful.

Sometimes the smell of cooking gets into the room. No one picks me up from the Airport. It might be the coordination problem though I reserve the transfer service.

Good environment, friendly staff and clean

No life, swimming pool is too small

I enjoy to stay at Bali Rani. This hotel located at Kuta town area, all stall, shopping mall and restaurant are nearby. Although hotel room is a bit smaller but overall the environment is acceptable. Walk 5 minute will reach Kuta beach, this is another reason I like it.

Location is the main attraction

Rooms need upgrading

The Bali Rani is well located and within walking distance from the busy Kuta area/beach. Also near Discovery Mall and Water Bom which is very convenient. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast has good variations. Staff is very friendly and professional. Grounds and pool kept very clean and tropical to create resort like atmosphere.

In consideration of the location, tidiness, and comfortableness, the rate is reasonably priced.

None

The location is at the central. Very close to shopping mall and the Kuta Beach. If you dont not expect to stay at hotel for long time, it is a good hotel to stay, everything you need is at the touch of your hand. The most famous Kuta Beach is just 5 mins walk from the Hotel passing through the Discovery Mall.

Best hotel and close to the mall

the toilet needs to get fixed

My husband and I had a good time at this hotel. The people are nice and when we need something they come right after. The food is ok. Bali Rani is just a cross the street from the mall which is a plus for both of us because we love shopping. I think the bathroom needs more renovation. We had one problem with the toilet, for some reason it wont flushed the toilet paper.

Good internet access, it allowed me to work when I needed to. Good pool, good rooms. Good front desk service. Good housekeeping. Prompt room service. Breakfast isn't too bad either.

Internet access is just a little bit over priced. Too many mosquitoes in the rooms etc..

There was a problem one morning with breakfast and the fact that the waitress had put someone else's things on the table which had my things on it and when I approached her - she didn't fix the problem but instead left it to me which was a bit annoying. They should spray the mosquito stuff that other hotels spray to keep the mozzies away, My room had at least 15 one night. I had to buy the mozzie burning repellent and keep them out. Those are minor issues to me however. I believe I will be returning back to Bali Rani again.

Travel tip : Great tattoo place nearby...owned by an Australian...Bali Ink..

Friendly staff, tasty food, close to department store and markets. Very close to the Waterbom park.

Room had a musty smell (could have done with some airing out)and I bought some incense to give it a nice scent. No safety deposit box in the room, lumpy pillows.

I found Bali Rani to be quite basic but suited my needs for the four-night stay. It was convenient and so close to everything. Very friendly staff.

Shopping Tip : Visiting the dept store has some good bargains and cooler to shop if you get sick of the haggling and the heat.

Location is very convenient. Across road from shopping mall, walking distance to roadside shops and all types of eating joints. Lovely Lotus pond. Staff very willing to please.

Rooms are a bit old but still clean. Pool is smaller than it looks on pictures, but sufficient, I guess.

Arrived late at night, so location good as we could get a good meal at one of the many roadside joints still open. Near 24 hour minimarts where we could drinks and snacks. Contacted the hotel to check on cost of airport transfer - they picked us up free of charge and although we stayed only 1 night, they obliged by sending us to our next destination without ant hesitation - that's what I call a service culture. Breakfast is good enough. Only thing is that the beach is across a road and behind other buildings which takes away the appeal of the place.

Hotel Feature Tip : Email the hotel with arrival details, they will send a car to pick you up and maybe even send you off. You can save on the expensive airport transfers offered online and the insecurity of taking a local taxi.

Swimming pool is nice and the lotus pond is quite refreshing.

The non-smoking rooms smells terrible and they did not even change the sheets. Overall the rooms r a bit run down.

The location of the hotel is fine (near Kuta town center) but the rooms r a bit run down and even the non-smoking rooms smells 'cigarette'. Sheets and pillow cases r not changed when we checked in. Have to request for the change the next day. The breakfast provided is nothing to shout about. Should have more varieties instead of the same old thing for the duration of my stay. The staff r very helpful and cheerful. But the cleaners do not give us the 2 bottles of mineral water daily. They just topped it up to 2. The management should look into it.

Shopping Tip : Opposite discovery mall (but a bit on the high side) and walking distance to Matahari (a better option for thrifty shoppers). A better place would be the Legian area (ground zero). Lot's of shops there but u need to negotiate more on the price.

Nice and shady pool with trees around. In front of The Centro Shopping Mall, a perfect location for branded shopping.

The room is small and a bit running down, need refurbishment. The room is not value for money.

The hotel staff is friendly and polite. They still manage to arrange for airport transfer though I book the hotel less than 24 hours! (Agoda is really efficient and reliable). The room is dampy and a bit running down. Need refurbishment. The breakfast is just fine. Variety wise, just ok. Taste wise, not bad. It's next to a 24 hours restaurants. Very convenient location.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a bike at IDR50,000 is really fun. You may sightsee every corners of Tuban, Kuta, Legian and Seminyak area by your own. Getting a cab is tedious. Do not miss the experience.
