Couples Australia, November 28, 2012	Best of Balian ... absolutely awesome three storey villa with a private pool and friendly staff 9.7 We are regulars to Balian and this place has to be the best accommodation available. Balian is about two hours from the main tourist areas of Bali and is really for surfers. The Villas are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to treat themselves. We usually stay at more budget places but this was well worth the money. Having the breakfast cooked and served for you each morning at your villa was very decadent. The private plunge pool was great especially because Balian is not a swimming beach. The villas are kid friendly but they are three storey with a lot of stairs. The staff are very nice and I hear that you can pay for a fulltime babysitter so mums and dads can really kick back. Restaurant Tip: Try the night market up on the main road. delicious local food that is very cheap. Also Wayans warung right on the sand is a great friendly place to watch the sunset and enjoy great local dishes.

Groups Australia, November 16, 2012	Quite nice hotel Closeness to surf beach and ocean views 6.7 despite confirming the day before, the staff did not remember to pick us up from the airport. they tried to make it up to us with complimentary drinks and laundry. rooms were quite nice but needed some maintenance. power kept switching off then on again, meaning the aircon was quite average. breakfast was quite bland but the staff were lovely. the bottom floor bathroom was quite smelly. beds were comfortable with amazing views.

Families with young children Australia, October 28, 2012	Great location, great service 1 min walk to the beach, friendly and helpful staff, privacy 8.7 Balian Villa is probably the best and only place to stay in Balian that is close to the beach (1 min walk) and that has the comfort and privacy that you won't find in a hotel. It is defitely the best option for surfers with family and small children. While my husband went for a surf, my 2 year old son and I were happy to hang at the villa and swim in our private pool or just take a quick walk to the beach. The villa staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They come at the villa in the morning and cook breakfast at whatever time you specify and that service is included. For a small extra cost, you can have the staff cooking a delicious BBQ for dinner, all while you enjoy your privacy and own place. We will certainly be going back.
