Old,dirty,in need of a serious renovation , poor access , staff average Balisani Hotel is located in the best area in Legion walking distance to all things you require. Unfortunatley thats about it for this hotel the worst bathrooms I have seen in a long time poor lighting and for the toilet think of a the plane toilet its smaller still, to the point that your legs hang outside the door.
Well their is only one thing for the Balisani a bulldozer! in its glory days i am sure it was great but now it is well passed its used by date.

nice pool, great staff, recommend the club sandwich (reasonably priced food & drinks). clean rooms. Breakfast was great, and the cooks would make you things which weren't put out (like omlettes and pancakes) =no= water pressure, and negligible hot water. Really bothersome.
No steps into the pool, so be careful (not a big deal for most). great little place, very quaint. Nothing fancy, but (other than the showers' water pressure) no complaints. Area it is in is decent - lots of good restaurants just south of the hotel, and some interesting places north. Easy to get back to the hotel (15,000rp by taxi from south end of kuta), and only 20,000 to get just about anywhere from there. Place was cheap, staff were great.
Pool & bar closes at 7pm, so the place gets fairly quiet. Not much night life around there either, which is good if you want a quieter hotel. Not a bad location (just nothing special). For the price, I would recommend it.
Shopping Tip : Decent tailor (501 Tailor) at the (south) end of the street.

The staff where wonderful, The pool and pool bar where amazing and the massage by the pool was great! The food was good as well as cheap The bath leaked on the floor, but for this price who cares! put a towel over it.
Extra pillows where hard to come by. The staff where wonderful, they went to great lengths make us feel welcome, even brought breakfast to our door! The pool and pool bar where amazing and the massage by the pool was cheap as chips! They had a happy hour where you could get 2 for 1 cocktails. The food was really good and just as cheap as on the street so there was no reason to move from the porch or the pool. I was a bit worried before I booked because of the mixed reviews. I would definate stay here again. I think people need to appreciate that this price it is not a five star hotel, but it was clean, they changed the sheets and towels and made up the room daily. They where helpful and for the price I don't think you can go past it. We had the superior room and it worked for us. The breakfast has no bacon or sausages, but hey its not like you aren't going to be eating for the rest of the day anway!
Hotel Feature Tip : The pool side massage is good and also very cheap given it is in the hotel, cheaper than the day spa's outside by quite a bit :-)

cozy hotel in quiet place. good price/value. they have some minor problems with management we arrived at hotel but out of 4 booked and prepaid rooms only 3 were ready. so after a 30 min dispute they placed us to grand balisani suites hotel. which was nice.
Hotel Feature Tip : if you have some problems with rooms they can provide a room in much more expensive hotel with no additional cost. :)

nice location, good rooftop swimming pool, cheap a/c is to cold, the walls are thin good value/money, very nice rooftop swimming pool,. staff is friendly and you can check in any time you like. (we checked in on 1am and paid only for one night)

very old rooms. our toilet door didnt shut no hot water, The staff where very friendly and helpful, the pool and pool bar where excellent.
there where no double beds in any of the rooms, room 147 toilet door does not shut so no privacy, no hot water at all. the surrounding gardens are lovely and well maintained by a dear old man who chatted with you every morning,location handy to markets and a short stroll to the beach.

the room looks old, the bathroom no so clean, the beach is near if you look at the map but in the rality you have to walk aroud the big hotel right in front of you We only stay for 1 night at this hotel. The room is tradisional decorated but the furnitur need to be retouch. We need an extra effort just to lock and unlock our room because the key is not working properly. the beach is near if you look at the map but in the reality you have to walk around the big hotel right in front of you to get to the beach. The best value is the price isn't so high, fit for traveller with low budget.

Swimmimng pool was very clean and sparkling. The free breakfast was excellant Old, small hotel and the walk to reception was a climb to mt everest. A change of breakfast music would be welcome We arrived at 10.30pm and they didnt have our room we booked, so we took an optional lesser room for the night. Next day we were allocated room no 150, double bed, very small room and old. It was clean, the shower was fine. The room proxcimity to the dining and the pool was very noicey and disturbing especially late at night with revellers in the pool. We didnt enjoy our stay. For the price i expected better.
Restaurant Tip : On your way towards padma lane on the lh side there is a restarant warung rosa. All the meals are 15000 rp and are excellent dishes well patrionaged restaurant.

had a good bali atmosphere. friendly staff lovely gardens. great location close to shopping and liked that it wasnt in the middle of busy kuta the hotel is a little older and the room reflected this but the bed was good, sheets clean. perhaps more expensive rooms may have been different legian great area to stay but not too far from kuta. we were able to walk the distance because there is shopping all the way! easy walk to the beach if you want that but the hotel pool and swim up bar was lovely. i would love to see the hotel when all the frangipanis are in bloom! yes would stay there again but would like to compare other rooms and prices. the room we had was a little dark. friendly staff. thanx

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Pool and pool bar were fantastic. We loved happy hour cocktails around the pool. Bathrooms really need to be updated/replaced as they were old, chipped, broken, and very well worn. The front doors to the rooms have termite damage. For low cost accommodation this was excellent. The hotel had character and authenticity. The pool area was by far the best part of the hotel. Breakfast was nice but basic and the food from the menu was always good. The entrance to the hotel does not stand out very much, but once you walk up to reception and can see the inside area which opens out to the pool and cottages. There are four really good restaurants to your right as you leave the hotel. We found the Corner Bar food superb and cheap.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a Kodak shop about 100mts to your left as you leave the hotel where you can change your money over. They will not rip you off, but always check it again before you leave the shop.
