On booking this hotel we were not expecting too much with its two star rating however our disapointment was almost immediate from our arival. the entrance and lobby is a long climb up some steep very worn steps to a very dimly lit reception desk. To get to our rooms we walked along very dark walkways over very worn and uneven paving . cottage style rooms with padlocks for security, rooms very dim, toilet very cramped and unable to close door whilst inside? bath with adjustable shower head and no place to put it!linen very worn ,lack of towels and pillows. staff very friendly and appologetic for lack of ammenities. room upgraded on second night to deluxe. this room larger but equal problems with fixtures and fittings, bath/shower drained onto room floor. left hotel soon as possible. Must give credit to Agoda as they refunded for our early departure before we got home to aus without a formal request.

Bali Sani Padma - Top Place!

This was my second trip to the Balisani Padma. The staff remembered me and I was treated like long lost family on my arrival. The rooms are adequate, clean and airconditioned. The bathrooms need attention, but I figure what the hey, I'm only in there 15 mins a day! Totally recommend the BaliSani - will stay there every time I am in Bali!
Shopping Tip:
Indonesia airport will give you a discount on your excess baggage! Just ask politely! :)

After reading the reviews, the hotel did not have any surprises for me. The room was a decent size, and the bathroom, as expected, was not a room, but a toilet in a a space about the size of a coat closet. With the door closed, it hit my knees. The shower and sink are in the room with the bed, there is no separate space for it. They have the sliding thatched wood doors for privacy, but it is not in a separate room which may be a problem for some.
The room was a little dark at night, but we weren't performing surgery, so we didn't need bright lights.
The hotel is basically as described in the reviews, with a good breakfast with a cook who will make omletes/banana pancakes for you. Just be aware, Bali is full of people ready to charge you premiums, and if you book anything through the hotel, this is the case. I asked about car rentals at the front desk, and after I had returned, they assumed I wanted to book through them and had me ready to sign papers. I could get the same car for half the price outside the hotel. Perhaps they saw this as a service, but others may not.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Remember, use bluebird taxis to get around short to medium distances (they use meters) and not the people in front of the hotel. For long distance, look into tourist shuttles and bargin the price down a bit.

Arriving after a long flight and having no-one to help with the luggage was a good start.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Stay at the Grand Sinah Indah instead which is just nextdoor, don't be cheap. If you want to stay in this area you should expect to pay a bit more for the hotel, it really will make a huge difference to the kind of place you get.

cannot hope much for the value of money you spend for this hotel. The staff said that this is a four star hotel, but looking at the facilities and cleanliness of the room, the most star you can give is 3 star. The surrounding area is quite ok but at night it is quite scary coz the lighting to the room is not very good. The hotel need to upgrade the room condition to make sure more people will stay at the hotel. The breakfast is quite good, which offers varieties of food.

Balasani Padma... Central & Comfy... Good choice
- In central kuta, but still of the main road.
Gave a nice distance (5min walking) from the shopping area.
- Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Upon reading initial reviews of the Balasani Padma Hotel... i thought I would be staying in a Party hotel full of Australians. After my stay there, I leave with an impression that yes, this hotel must get its fair share of partying during the high season.
We stayed during the low season and the pool side reminded me of MTV springbreak clips. (only rather than Americans, you have Australians.)
Besides that feel to the place, the hotel was good choice for the money we paid. The staff and guests were very nice to me and my traveling companions. On our last night, the staff let me, my friends and a few other guests hang around poolside after closing hours.
So all in all, I say Padma is a good choice for its money. It is a cheap hotel with all the accommodations fitting of the price.
I give it an overall rating of 3/5 stars.
