Bumas Hotel Bali Info
Set in the village of Sanur, one of the less-developed areas of Bali, this 75-room hotel offers guests relaxing accommodations amidst traditional ambience. The Bumas Hotel also has a great location, just 200 meters from Sanur beach and minutes from the business and shopping districts of Denpasar. Dining takes place each day outdoors, in a thatched room pavilion that’s typical of Balinese and Javanese styles, and the menu features Indonesian, Chinese and European selections. The two large swimming pools are unique for a hotel of this size and offer guests more opportunities to unwind. Great location, decent breakfast, cheap, huge rooms wih air-con, two pools, big bed, friendly staff.
The room was quite dark, I opened the doors to let more light in, and the bathroom shower was inadequate - I couldn't take a proper shower the entire time I was there. The shower hose was too short, so it couldn't be mounted to the fixture on the wall - I had to take baths half the time. And there wasn't always hot water, so sometimes I had to take a cold shower, which wasn't so bad because of the heat, but ideally it'd be nice to have some hot water. Annoying mostly, but not impossible to deal with.
My stay at Bumas was great - the location was perfect and it was really cheap compared to other hotels on the beach. The walk to the beach wasn't that bad either and only about 10 minutes, not even. The staff were lovely, the rooms huge, the place quiet, and the grounds quite beautiful. The only draw-back was the bathroom, which I described above. When I got to the hotel the light in the bathroom didn't even work, the toilet takes a while to flush, and I couldn't take a proper shower (read above). But overall, I had a good experience and I would definitely go back.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There's a place called Bali Mobility around the corner from where I was staying. Exit the hotel to the main road and turn left and walk maybe 50-100 meters. Across the street from Circle K. The owner offers great deals for tours and access for the physically handicapped. He was a great guide for the time I was staying there and he speaks English and Japanese really well.

No real pros other than price.
No fridge in deluxe room.
Second pool did not have clear water and hurt eyes.
Pools not safe for little kids who can't swim.
Staff friendly and helpful. Five minute walk to beach through a restaurant. Lots of shopping and a supermarket 10 minutes walk to south of hotel. Breakfast was only so-so compared to other hotels I have stayed at in Bali. I would go back for a short stay but not a long holiday. We used t for a 2 day lay over and it was okay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Shortest way to beach is through path next too Taverna Restaurant.

good place for pleasure, and quiet hotel, great for relaxing.
parking area too small, and bath shower must be fixed, to small water coming from it.
a great hotel, with nature environment, quiet and clean place, nice room and nice bed. i like the pool, they have whirlpool on it. the best from the hotel is the price, they offer cheap price for nice and great place. someday i'll back to Bali, and i'll be stay at this hotel again . .
