Lovely hotel, very friendly staff

Close to beach, shops, cafes. We were looking for a hotel that was central to everything so our older children could explore on their own. The Dekuta fulfilled our needs. Rooms did not have a dvd player for trying out our new dvd purchases.
Restaurant Tip:
Look further than the hotel restaurant for meals as there are many around with better value for money.

In the heart of Kuta
it is situated @ Poppies Lane II. Though need to walk in a little, it was easy to find the hotel with the help of signboard.

We checked in early around 12pm but the room was not ready. The staff mentioned that many tourist had a long stay there. And so at 2pm, we got our room. It was at the end of a hallway. Instead of facing the swimming pool, our balcony was half the size of the normal balcony. Other tourist are able to come into other rooms just by jumping over the balcony. Therefore, definitely not that much privacy. But the room was clean.
Restaurant Tip:
For Muslims, the Fast food are all Halal. Pizza hut is so cheap. You can find one at Mecure Hotel in Kuta and some distance away, you can find Halal Macdonald. and nearby MCD, there is a whole stretch of Halal foodcourt. I saw the logo but didnt try. I asked around about Halal food when i come across any Muslim. They advised to go for Padang food which you can find around Kuta.
We rented motorbikes and it was very convenient to move around instead of cars as the road is always congested.
At night, the clubs comes alive. Kuta has many clubs and pubs. We didnt visit any but bypass many of them. You can find alot of youngsters in the sidewalks of bars of small lanes. Some even offered us to buy "mushrooms". But when we said NO, they just left.
Shopping... Ensure that you walk around and check on the prices. You can slash the price offered into half. I heard a lady sold to two americans, two pairs of dresses for 65,OOO Rp, after slashing it from 120,000 RPh for ONE.

Small hotel, central location

Rooms are smallish but fine & cleaned daily, very friendly staff. Location is central in Poppies II, short walk to beach and JL Legian. Construction across the road was the only negative, but out of the control of the hotel. Wifi seemed to work all throughout the hotel. Added bonus, no mini bar for the kids to rack up extra expenses :) Breakfast ok overall - super value for $$.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The elephant safari was fantastic, we even got to cuddle twin 7 month old orphaned orangutans!!

I like the interior of the hotel. Even it is just a small hotel, but the rooms is clean. My nephew was having a great time at the swimming pool and located at the centre of the Dekuta City. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Stayed for 2 nights here to be near Kuta Beach.
Decent stay for the price so do not expect much.
Basic hotel for basic needs.
Passable breakfast with no toiletries provided.
Bedsheets aren't exactly clean with a funky odour.
Staff are not exactly friendly as well.

Lovely hotel in good location
location, a lot of good restaurants near by and beach is just 5 minutes by walk

when we checked in, we found the floor was not very clean and there was a lot of mosquito, we had to go to mini-market to buy mosquito killer. 2nd day room make up was much better. overall speaking, it's a lovely hotel in good location with good access to beach, clubs, restaurants. the staff is friendly.

The hotel had a very pleasant feel to it & the one thing that we like about it is how everything is easily within reach.
Condition of the hotel is ok the floor was a bit dusty & we had a broken parapet beside our bed so we avoid using that. It can get a bit noisy at night too but so far for us it's tolerable.
Breakfast is not buffet style but an order by the counter.
Overall we would still go back to the hotel as it was a great one.
Shopping Tip:
There's a few convenient stores along the stretch of flea markets & wide range of souvenirs available for your loved ones back home. However the touting levels there are quite aggressive as they'll would want you to patronize their shops due to the competition among the neighbours but we would advise you to be firm with your decisions & survey a few shops before deciding on your purchase. Usually the items that you wanted are readily cheaper at the next store.
Oh and wall socket adapters can be found almost anywhere so you need not worry about you electronic gadjets!!!
