Our experience from the moment we arrived was very good. Staff were always helpfull and friendly, addressing our every need in a efficient manner. Breakfast was varied and good as well as the dinner menu being quite comprehensive. Getting around Bali was made easy by reception staff and the great drivers made available by DEsamuda.

Was great to stay in this Villa. Actually was at the second floor. But the room was great, relaxing, and the bed was big and nice to sleep. The pool was good too. Great place to relax. I will come again. But never come when Bali celebrates carnival. The traffic jam was terrible.

The staff was extremely helpful. I loved the breakfast, which was included in the price. It was very convenient to have airport transfer included. Everything we wanted to do in Bali, we could do through the hotel at a very reasonable price. Staying here was well worth it. I'd especially reccommend it to those looking for a romantic experience!

This was our 4th week in Bali and our final leg of our 1 month trip and what a beautiful place to stay. The staff are very friendly and always there to help your every needs. The set up and tranquility of the hotel is masterful and as a builder from Sydney the owners have really done a wonderful job of preserving the peacefulness and the traditional Balinese style of living while sophisticated. Position of Villers is great as you start at the top of the main street and get to pass all the main shopping outlets. Great for the people who do not like the hustle and bustle that Kuta represents. A must see and stay place and we will and have passed this place onto all our friends to frequent Bali every year.
Shopping Tip:
Not the area to bar ta. Keep it for Kuta as these are boutique shops.

Great Spot in Bali
Excellent location as long as you are not beach lovers, beautiful grounds, very good breakfast, very good restaurant, excellent staff, very nice rooms with equipped kitchens, free shuttle to your destinations around town.

This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. Its location is excellent as long as you are not beach lovers but the beach is only a 5 minute drive away. The grounds are beautiful and lush, the breakfast buffet is very good, and we really enjoyed our meals in the restaurant, the staff are excellent. It has very nice rooms with equipped kitchens and free shuttle to your destinations around town. The shopping in the area is very good and the restaurants are top notch. We had fun.
Restaurant Tip:
Be sure to try Manikinpis Belgian restaurant and the Panteria Greek restaurant. We suggest you give Ultimo a pass.

Great location and we felt "at home" staying at this hotel.

The room is very comfortable, clean and tidied by chambermaids everyday of our stay. However, we felt the living area could do with an air-con or at least a fan as it gets very warm even on some nights. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly and there are security personnel stationed at the entrance throughout the day. Hotel also provides free shuttle service to the airport. The location is great and good restaurants like Warung Made, Cafe Moka, Mannekepis Bistro from the hotel. There are also 2 mini-marts nearby.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much and will definitely stay at Desamuda Village again on our future trips to Bali.

Great for our Honeymoon!

We were in South Bali for the first few days of our honeymoon, and Desamuda was the perfect choice. Its location was ideal, as it is located right on the main shopping street, but also was far from the noise you would expect.
Their breakfast spread was ample and fresh. And their staff is very polite and very helpful.
We had a room with a private pool, and it was a very nice place to relax.
Also for people with kids, this is a wonderful place to stay, with a small pool for the little ones as well.
It is great value for money, and I hope they dont hike up the prices!!
All in all, we came back with a very pleasant experience. We will definitely come back to this lovely hotel.
Travel tip:
TIP- make sure you walk to Made's Warung which is 5 minutes away.Their Nasi Campur and Gado Gado is to die for! If you love spice then order their Thai Beef Salad. Also try their Arak Madu/Arak Attack!
TIP 2- For renting a car with a driver and petrol included, call BALI DE JACK and let them know you got their number from Alia.
They were amazing people who were friendly, but not overly so. Their cars are spacious and also they offer the best rates we found so far at USD 35 for 10 hours.

Nice hotel with friendly staffs

Provide us with alot of info on the places of interest. Best of all free transport provide to kuta beach.

I was abit dispointed when the room given is actually w/o a pool. Wanted to upgrade to a room with pool but was all fully book. very kind of them knowing that is my birthday they decided to give me a family villa with 3 bedrooms. The room come with a very big open air bathroom with a big bathtub and shower area. Best of all they provide free transport to airport also. I will definately go back again if go bali.

A Delightful Stay at Desamuda

Arriving at the Desamuda, I was initially a little apprehensive as the simple exterior seemed to be indicative of a mediocre setup.
Getting out of the cab, and being welcomed by amazing staff with umbrellas as it was raining, I was pleasantly surprised once I entered into lobby. The rustic charm of the place coupled with the wonderful service made me feel instantly comfortable in the environment.
After a short waiting time, we headed to the villa and again the exterior belied what was to be expected. The villa was spacious, beautifully decorated and definitely was above expectations. The tiny touches like providing mosquito coils also revealed the level of detail which I liked. The private pool was a joy for my friends and I but may be a source of concern to parent with young kids.
All in all, Desamuda was a delight and I would definitely return if I am in Bali.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
AJ Hackett for bungee jumping. Definitely a must go for adrenaline junkies.. A very short distance away.

This was a nice, quiet property with just enough villas to make you not feel isolated but not so many that you feel like a number on a hotel spreadsheet. The pools were nice and closed at 10 p.m., but they let us stay in past 10 and never said anything. Great restaurants are within easy walking distance. And if you're looking for nightlife, the Double 6 area is walkable or a cheap taxi ride away. I would recommend the hotel for people without families, as there is not much here for children, and the atmosphere is one that is friendlier to those seeking peace and quiet.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Spend a few extra bucks and get a first-floor villa with a private pool. The communal pools are nice, but my group wished constantly that we would have had a private one to use at whim.
